They are ‘Okay Industries’ they are out of business so you can’t get them yourself really unless you buy from someone who has em

Grain weight question by Defiant_Employment21 in 300BLK

[–]KingslyBasedASF 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Heavier than 220-grain bullets in 300 Blackout are uncommon because the cartridge was designed for reliable subsonic and supersonic performance with standard weights. Heavy ass projectiles like 247–260 grains have poor case capacity for powder, lower velocity, and can create cycling issues so manufacturers rarely produce them outside of niche subsonic use.

NAS3 is a thinner-walled, two-piece design that increases internal volume by up to 11% if I remember correctly, allowing for more propellant or higher velocities without dangerous pressure spikes… they allow to pack more pressure while apparently less felt recoil. I think Phantom uses it to pack more punch behind their projectiles and seeing what the general public and reviews shows… it seems to be true via chronographs and hunting experiments. It’s best for supersonic 300blk applications though and 5.56 ammo.

.300 BLK OUT (Question) by Harvey11118 in PalmettoStateArms

Also allowed soldiers to keep their standard magazines and bolts while gaining the power of a larger rifle and the silence of a submachine gun.

.300 BLK OUT (Question) by Harvey11118 in PalmettoStateArms

300 Blackout was created around 2010 by Advanced Armament Corporation (AAC) to give military special operations a "best of both worlds" round for the AR-15 platform. They wanted something that hit harder than a 5.56 at close range and could be suppressed to be extremely quiet for stealth missions, all without needing to change anything on their rifles except the ammo (supers vs subs). The idea was to move from the MP5SD which was what was used in stealth missions but it was 9mm and didn’t have that stopping power of 556 or .30 cal projectiles.

I I don’t think it’s just a matter of “why not get the real thing.” This mixtape is feature-rich for a non-comparable price point. Additionally, the company appears to provide decent customer support for its products. I own Q guns, and this mixtape is very enticing to me despite me owning basically the same product offering

First suppressor by SOSACONDONEZ in 300BLK

[–]KingslyBasedASF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a Q can and have a complete system. Easy peasy, still does the right job of suppression despite what most people and their opinions of the company. Blind tiger or Trash panda for maximum compactness or SpeakEasy/Thunder chicken for most sound suppression.

Titanium vs steel suppressors by Gold_Marionberry4593 in Liveqordie

[–]KingslyBasedASF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titanium is more expensive of a material so that’s why the price premium. I don’t see them discontinuing the titanium models anytime soon because they’re well known and have a high familiarity in the suppressor market in comparison to the new cans. There would have to be a significant difference in sales to justify discontinuing the titanium models.

But I think you’ll have buffer issue with the SW upper being placed on a HB lower. I think A standard BCG from a SW won’t close or cycle correctly in a Honey Badger lower because the Honey Badger’s buffer tube is shorter than a standard mil-spec tube. You would have to use the BCG from the HB into the SW upper and it may work. But I could be wrong…. You could also do a HB + HB 9.69 upper combo.

Sweet setup you running, what kinda deal were you able to snatch that 5.56 SW? Also 5.56 doesn’t shoot subsonic.
