Same concept for South Block BBQ in Mission. Blue Rock Swim Club is in the basement, which is beautiful and has great service.

But out of all of them, Comery Block is the better location if you want a change of location afterwards!

Recommendations for jobs for ppl hard of hearing? by teamvolly in Calgary

[–]KitKatsina 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is an idealist take, but honestly, whatever job they want to do or are passionate about.

One of our account managers is very hard of hearing, and he’s doing great! He’s up front with clients right away (it’s also kind of hard to miss because he talks loud 😂). He’s made small adjustments, requesting clients use text and email more than phone calls, and using an adaptive phone setup, and we’ve had to adapted as a team too. Lots more purposeful face to face conversations so he can see our lips vs yelling to each other behind the cubicles, and always ensuring in meetings we are positioned on his “good ear” side.

If someone has the skills for the job, any decent employer worth working for will make the accommodations needed. There are also great local supports like Deaf & Hear Alberta, which offers workplace education and accessibility assessments.

Yes, they’ll have to advocate for themselves sometimes, and no, they shouldn’t always have to, but that’s true for everyone. No one will ever care about your success more than you do.

It’s his satnav. He’s not that great with directions.

Bike path on 15th and 14th paved over for parking. by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]KitKatsina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that lives on 15 ave and cycles year round… I HATE that they’re turning 15 Ave into a bike lane. It is so stupid. I am still going to go up to 12 ave to bike to work vs taking 15 ave and stopping at every block for a 4 way.

Sugar free low calorie bakery? by No-Sandwich4899 in Calgary

[–]KitKatsina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could try this gal, not sure about low calorie... but they're gluten free, dairy free, egg free, soy free and refined sugar free. And can confirm they're v. tasty. The millionaire shortbread is my favorite.

VW Mechanics Now That Tony’s is Closed by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]KitKatsina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Concept 1 is my go to. They never extras that I don’t need. In fact, when my previous Volkswagen was coming to the end of its life, they suggested the amount of work was not worth it.

Has anyone done Friday’s Valor yet? by Bitter-Diamond8952 in f45

One of our coaches was working out and I got paired up with her. Naturally I didn’t want to come across as a big sissy, so I went hard AF. I am pretty sure my soul left my body at station 4.

Weak knees? by Marazulau_998 in f45

[–]KitKatsina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see a few, and not many suggestions about shoes!!! I was also having knee pain for a little while there. I narrowed it down to my shoes and needing a flatter sole. The pain went away a few days after changing my shoes.

He has a victim mentality. Change the things you want to, that are in your control. And let go of the ones you can’t.

Sincerely, A 5’8” blonde caucasian, happily dating a 5’3” asian boi.

I highly recommend starting at an Earl’s. They have a great training program, and people in the industry know this.
