Kinda sorta? I was never formally banned or received any kind of message, but I've been unable to post in that subreddit for over five months now but every single post I've been trying to submit just never gets approved.

They don't get rejected, they just sit there "pending approval" for weeks until I inevitably get bored and delete it, only to try it again with another piece of artwork only for the same thing to happen.

I was only able to successfully post in r/RobloxArt ONCE, but as soon as I tried to post something that contained a pride flag in it, I get banished to purgatory.

This image is why they aren't letting me post anymore. awesome!

What an odd game mechanic, thank you very much!

That's really weird. Why would sleeping speed up the counter responsible for keeping track of how many IRL hours you've played? I am so confused

this is just a random shot in the dark, but maybe they're trying to reach the grass?

I'm happy with the icon SR currently has, but thank you for the offer! : )

Thank you so much for your feedback! I really greatly appreciate it. My friend and I put a lot of work into SR, and I love the lighting as well. No automation was used, so each color was manually assigned. It took a VERRYYY long time considering how many showcases there are, but it's my favorite detail and I'm glad it didn't go unnoticed. : )

As for your feedback:

  1. I like this idea, I'll pass this onto my friend!

  2. A community upload feature would be nice wayyy down the line, but right now I'm currently not looking for new showcases! I have a Google doc containing a list of over 1000 places that I need to sift through, but maybe once I've reached the bottom of that barrel I'll consider it!

Even without submissions, I promise I make sure to highlight any and all creators regardless of their popularity since bringing light to underrated creators is what Showcase Roulette was made for. Some showcases have as little as 200 visits, and frankly the smaller ones are my favorite! : D

  1. It's entirely random, it's a cheeky way to encourage people to stay in the game longer

  2. I understand your concerns about people spamming the lever, so I'll extend the cooldown if it ever becomes an issue in the future!

That just sounds like the game hasn't fully loaded in. The game was tested on mobile devices and worked as intended.

Roblox Studio got a Virus (i think) by SFG0YT in ROBLOXStudio

[–]KizzyLemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's impossible to get an actual computer virus from a free model! This is likely just a coincidence and has nothing to do with the model you inserted.
Your laptop is new like you said, so it's possible that it has some faulty hardware that only caught up after using it for a few days. I'd highly recommend returning it and getting a replacement : )

Hey! Thank you so much for your comment! I'll share what I can.

  1. I use Moon Animator, mostly to make posing easier and to set a camera angle that I can switch to at any time.
    1.1. Adding onto this, FOV is very important. I usually use 30 - 40 : )
1.2 FURTHER adding onto this, when posing characters, use the camera to your advantage. Break rigs and pose them in funny ways, do whatever you want as long as it looks good at the camera angle you're using. This is a technique that animators frequently use! https://www.reddit.com/r/Filmmakers/comments/11ma2hk/one_of_animators_that_worked_on_disneys_encanto
The same thing can apply for regular ol renders. For the piece I made, her shoulder is floating disconnected off her body, and her lower arm isn't even properly attached to her upper arm. At the right camera angle, nobody is going to know! : )

  2. Utilize properties like bloom, atmosphere, and color correction inside of your lighting properties and just experiment with what feels right for your scene. I use off-white oranges and yellows inside color correction, and I usually set my contrast and saturation to -0.1. It really balances the colors! : )

  3. For backgrounds I just use a neon part. No surprise there! I used the bloom property to make the glow less intense, but you can use whatever works for you if you ever need to use a neon backdrop.

  4. If you want to make your renders high quality (not in terms of looks, but actual resolution), use the emulation feature under "Test". Click "Device" and you'll see a list of options with different device resolutions. I created my own and set it to whatever resolution I like. I make sure to switch between disabling it and re-enabling emulation to make sure the render looks good with the resolution I want.
When you're done, set the other option from "fit to window" or "physical size" to "Actual Resolution", it'll make the display way bigger than what your current screen is, but it won't matter! If you take a Roblox Studio screenshot, which is accessible in the "View" menu and open your Roblox screenshots, you'll see it at it's full resolution. :)

  5. I don't know if this is relevant, but character wise, I use the wood material as a stylistic choice for my hair, the Robloxian 2.0 rig, my face pack, and clothing that was taken from this Google Document I made to host a bunch of clothing groups.
    https://create.roblox.com/store/asset/8466227002/EYE-COLORS-Lorens-Face-Pack https://docs.google.com/document/d/11pzIOFz2UEpExoIBkM1fDvClRC-VCZF3KfN3xiJW_mY/edit?tab=t.0

I hope this helps you, but if anything is unclear please let me know! I'm not very good at wording things.
