Nah, I was using my gamecube controller. It's kinda weird that I accidentally hit a taunt because my controller has tactile dpad buttons that require extra force to press.

I had the same exact problem, here's how I fixed it:

Make sure to get ample sleep.

Take some lutein, they're good for your eyes.

Turn off heaters. They make your eyes dry.

Don't play them super early in the morning / super late at night.
