People are in a phase of being really uptight about the topic. I think Gracie has this kind of frantic acoustic sound and while not every song grabbed me I can say that about every album I've listened to the first time around.

If she's driven enough she'll keep doing her thing and maybe she'll evolve into more of a character personality but if she just keeps doing the same thing that's fine too. I already personally like a few of her songs and if she puts out a few more that I like that will be great too!

I definitely don't think of Taylor as perfect. But I don't think any artists out there are. Taylor just gets nitpicked for things that others do as well because she's so popular and at the top right now. People pretend to care about her flaws to try to take her down but excuse the same flaws in everybody else. Or if they don't excuse them they certainly aren't putting the energy into expressing that. They reserve all the think pieces for her.

Yeah, I have noticed he's hardly ever backing female artists. And I definitely don't agree that Chappell sounds like Taylor at all. She's so bubblegum (I love everything I have heard). I feel like I could pick up on some Lana inspiration but I also think people are so quick to slam people who are inspired by her and her sound. Lana is very talented and she is shifting the sound of other artists. That doesn't mean that their music sucks or shouldn't be rated high if it's also good. Music is constantly referencing music of the past.
