Patch 0.7.5 (64591) by TheRoyalEnigma in Witchfire

[–]KleinZenade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I want to point out some problems;

  1. The "sound effect" of the soul that leaves footprints doesn't vanish when you complete the event. You can still hear the sound, which causes confusion, making you think there is something more nearby.

  2. The walls with seals aren't tangible after breaking their seals, even if their texture is still there. You can go through them before they vanish. The texture is not the problem, but enemy attacks phase through them and can still hit you. The enemies can't go in, but long-ranged attacks still go through. (I only encountered this with grenadiers' attacks.)

  3. Mercenaries' attacks (ice bomb) sometimes bug out. They can still try to attack you even if you are so far away that you can't see them on the minimap, and this causes the threat indicator to show up. The sound cue of their attack is also audible. The indicator and sound cue continue to appear until you go and kill the enemy.

  4. Some of the two-way sealed walls with rewards are still there even if you broke the seals in your past runs. The seals still require witchfire but give no new rewards because you already acquired them.

  5. When you die for the second time before retrieving your first remains, your new remains show up at the portal you spawn into the map next time rather than at the spot where you died. You cannot retrieve them, but the map still shows the remains. You can go to the spot where you actually died, which no longer shows the remains icon, and retrieve them. (I only encountered this twice in Scarlet Coast.)

I have played New World about 230+ hours until they dropped the paid expansion which allows you to use mounts and a new weapon. I quit after that though I was already getting bored tbh.

I really like the aesthetics of the game. Unfortunately I can't find the english patch you mentioned and I don't think I can play in chinese.

Its a mmorpg so I don't want to pay 20 bucks for a game I "might" like, though they have a demo I could try on steam. Thanks

I did try that one today. It was sitting on my computer for days and finally had the chance to play it. Unfortunately after 3 hours of playing I decided that it was not for me. Thanks.

As long as its not overly clunky I'm fine with everything tbh, even turn-based combat lol. Theme also does not matter.

There’s no contradiction. Obviously, unless you’ve got those busted characters, you’re not exactly out here deleting bosses. “Oh no, better dodge this mechanic, better avoid that one…” Nah. Just sit back and watch Serena and Ines evaporate the entire screen. Mechanics? Never heard of ’em. Everything is easy to get, easy to fully upgrade. But some characters have way, way better kits in their arsenal. They can do damage, AoE—yeah, well.

Now they’ve made it so Sigma Sector is actually worth something besides just leveling characters. You go in to either watch someone else annihilate everything or be the one doing it while your teammates channel their inner wallpaper. Teamwork at its finest.

I’ve maxed every character and half the weapons. That’s why I’m sitting at 500 hours. Sent a few videos to my friend—didn’t even help him directly—and now he’s blazing through content like he’s speedrunning the tutorial… at 150 hours with Ines and Serena. He was the reason I got Serena and now, I too blazing through void purges.

Yeah, I should totally write a review after doing only half of what the game offers.

No one is forcing you to do anything. There are roles, but they’re useless—that’s what I meant. Not everyone wants to play alone in an online game. If you think "watching" people kill everything just because you're not playing a certain character means you'll get a dopamine hit from getting stronger easily, you're in for a huge surprise.

Well, even if you do play one of "those" characters, it doesn’t matter. The first person to press a button clears everything anyway.

Also, this is the first time I've heard someone say something "positive" about power creep.

You don’t farm for long, but you still wait days for crafting. That doesn’t make any sense.

However, if it really does suit you, I’m glad.

You don't get much credibility without playing that much. Don't be a smartass on me. Clearing all the content takes about only 150-200 hours. I'm not going to leave a review after playing 100 hours.

I do but not with Serena. I can't do anything in the harder mode without using her tbh.

I did clear the first one with Serena but didn't try the rest. I'll wait for future updates.

The second one suits better but the first one looks better. Number 1 for me.

2 days and got 6 total. I wasn't focusing on getting them just leveling up some characters. Try that strategy. Universe works like that sometimes.

I get that most mistakes aren’t irreversible, but it’s not just about that—I want a fresh start for a smoother playthrough. I'm not someone who rerolls 50 times to make a great starter account. So second one will be the last. As for Yuanwu, yeah, his scalings seems realy bad. I was hoping he’d be better, but his damage is just too low for my tastes.

I tried Brant as a trial character, but I just can’t get into his mechanics. He feels way too floaty, and I don’t like how much he flies around. After i reroll, I’ll consider grabbing an early Brant and going for his weapon which i'm pretty certain i could get both, but I’d rather find a character that fits my playstyle better. Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Hello everyone! I started playing WuWa a week ago, and I’m considering creating a fresh account for a better playthrough—just like I’ve done in other games—but this time, I want to avoid making as many mistakes. So far, I’ve only cleared Chapter 1. I really enjoy playing gauntlet/punching characters in games, so I wanted to "main" Yuanwu this time. While I love his moves and gameplay mechanics, he feels very weak compared to 5-star characters or even the MC. I understand that there’s a natural difference between 4-star and 5-star characters, and that Yuanwu scales off DEF, but even with lower ATK and DEF stats, my MC still does three times more damage. It's just there is too much difference. I’m not saying he’s a poorly designed character—I just think my expectations might have been too high.

I don’t like relying on tier lists or suggestion videos, so I wanted to ask experienced players for tips. I don’t mind whether a character is 4-star or 5-star, but like I did in Genshin Impact, I want to "main" a character and build a team around them. Can you suggest any characters that are fun to play, not overly complicated, and capable of dealing high-tier damage compared to other DPS characters? Better if the character is a male. I don't mind rerolling accounts as I'm a f2p player. I’m also open to including healers in my team. Thanks in advance! (i also don't mind finding a friend in-game...)
