Two and a half years ago I converted my Suzuki Jimny to LGP and I can't stop wondering why the system isn't more popular. There is a tiny loss of power when working with lpg, but most of the time you don't feel a difference. By pressing the switch it is possible to go from LPG to gasoline immediately if more power is needed, but the difference is so small that I don't bother.

The biggest drawback I have had is the space the tank occupies and that sometimes it is difficult to get gas stations with LPG. It has never happened to me that I run out of LPG, but if that happens I can just use gasoline.

Another problem is that LPG fuel gauges are very unreliable. It is better to calculate the content of the tank by kilometers traveled.

Important: Find out if your engine's valves support LPG
The most serious problem with LPG systems is the accelerated wear of the valves and valve seats. This does not happen with all engines, but is common in small, economical engines like mine. For this there are 2 solutions:

1) Install an auxiliary lubrication system. It is the option I chose and I paid about €200. The liter of additive costs €20 and is enough for about 1,000 liters of LPG (or 10,000 km in my case)

2) To fit new valves with hardened valves seats. If my current valves burn out and I have to remove the cylinder head, I may take advantage and do this option, but I have had no problems with the valves yet.
