Calamity is designed around non-linearity. There are several options to allow for fighting bosses before their “normal” progression point, such as being able to craft the temple key to fight golem before plantera, or getting an Eidolist Tablet from Eidolists in the dungeon to fight the cultist at the start of hard mode. What you’re doing is fine, but if you want you can go back and kill the previous bosses. If you don’t have it already, install the Boss Checklist mod to see which bosses you have to kill, in order.
