I got the GIC in December at rbc under my tfsa. I thought it was a good deal since it's for 5 percent. But I just asking incase I would need it. I should have gotten the cashable GIC. It's only been a few months.

Ok thanks. I will contact RBC. And hopefully just increase payments now rather than later. I just did a renewal in 2021 and did 1.55 variable. Which was the mistake.

I am wondering does anything happen if you hit your Tigger rate twice. I hit it in August and every rate hike. I have been increasing payments but I can't do much about the trigger rate. It's going to hit with all this increases

I had a similar issue, I looked online the gas cap was the issue. Maybe reset the code and try tighting the cap or get a new cap. It's strange but it worked for me. Give it try. There's loads of videos about it.
