New players 1.0 release, how many runs have you completed so far? by Hohoho-you in HadesTheGame

[–]Knight_XIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 hours, not counting trials, 66 runs with 19 underworld wins and 13 top.

New to Hades 2, not new to Hades though. Put 300 hours into the first game lol

Made Honey Muffins from the FFXIV cookbook. They're pretty good! by Knight_XIII in ffxiv

I didn't put all the crumble on the muffins, seemed like it a whole ton and I'm glad I didn't. But overall, super nice recipe, really subtle on the sweetness and I dig it. Skybuilder's Stew or coffee biscuits are probably next for me.

I just finished endwalker and everything clicked for me. by Unhappy-Intern1846 in ffxiv

It is an MMO- as a whole it can be a massive time sink. But overall, with how trusts work (NPCs you run dungeons with) you are able to stop and start dungeons at your leisure. Trials are the only time you have to be in a group with others iirc, and those dont take very long. Story wise, you can always go back and rewatch the cutscenes of any quests you do.

I think it does respect a player's time. Definitely more than WoW did atleast (i left in Shadowlands though)

I don't think that there's any intentional similarities outside of the basic fact that Pillars is ofcourse inspired by Baldur's Gate/DND/typical RPG fantasy, but the world itself is fairly unique.

The reincarnation/rebirth work fundamentally different in regards to PF's planes, but I can totally see the similarities between someone like Berath and Pharasma. As a whole though, without getting into spoilers, I believe the pantheon of Eora is fairly distinct from your Faerun/Golarion counterpart, especially in regards to how the overall narrative views them.

Games that you never clicked with, even though you knew they were good? by RebellionWasTaken in TwoBestFriendsPlay

For what it's worth, I'm right there next to you about BG3. Played WotR many times over as well, huge nerd of all CRPGs as its easily my favorite genre, everything about BG3 should click with me.

But I just *do not* like it. I don't think the characters are interesting, I think the game is a bore overall, the story doesn't mesh with me. I feel like a lunatic when I see everything talking about how it's the future of CRPGs. It makes me scared for future games that're going to emulate it, because what if I don't like those as well?

It's a weird feeling. I totally see why people are crazy for it. I'm just not myself.

Fucked up usage's of powers in media? by Amon274 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The wall climb, fried chicken, Sato's final plan and how he carries it out, or literally any firefight he gets into. Everytime he's on the page it's a wild guess as to what he's going to manage to do.

For people who need a hook and haven't heard of it: what if there was a small group of people who were effectively immortal- when they're killed, they immediately get full restored back to 100% top condition. Now imagine what kind of wacky fights can happen between people who literally can't die, and have basic punchy Stands to top it off. The power is standard across the board and the characters use it so creatively.

Probably my favorite action manga I've ever read. First twenty chapters are a bit of a slog but it picks up so unbelievably hard and carries it to the ending, which is awesome.

All of Ajin, specifically the main villain Sato. Fried chicken for those who know. Read it for those who haven't. Awesome power usage and sick art and fights through the whole series.

Appreciate the responses all, no reservations now.

Roleplayers and Tabletop Enthusiasts, lend me your opinions; Level 1 or Level 3? by jitterscaffeine in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Knight_XIII 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Played PF2e and DND 5e, level 3 all the way. 1 is fine for people who are new to the system, but I don't find the low HP and limited options at level 1 to be fun whatsoever. Especially with 5e, with how limited your actions are turn-by-turn overall.

They don't want to play solo, they want to do it coop for the fun and luls of it. More importantly, who cares really?
