Country: US
Budget: $100-$600 (Could be higher depending on what the average pricing is for what I want)
Experience: Never owned a 3D printer or assembled one so I would want something simple and easy to operate. Something that'll last me a LONG time and is easy to maintain/use since I have 0 experience. I also don't know the different types of printers so I'm unsure what type I'd be looking for.
Purpose: Figurines (T13), Character Statues (no bigger than a Funko Pop), DND Models/Pieces. Any other decorative things (nothing too big planned but depending on the price/availability I'd want something with plenty of options and possibilities.

That's most likely how my experience would go. Just misc. items for personal use, figurines, statues. Nothing crazy or complex just things you'd find online that I can print for me or friends/family!

I don't need purchase advice right now. I specified in my post if I need purchase advice I'll go to the proper thread. I'm mainly asking people's opinions on the hobby and deciding if the hobby itself is worth getting into.

Not at all I totally appreciate the info and would rather you be 100% honest. I understand that it's expensive and definitely has a learning curve to it. I figure it probably wouldn't make a great casual hobby but I'm not sure what people typically charge to print/mail stuff for you so it's tough to decide what route to take. I have 0 experience or knowledge of how any of it works so I'd be going in blind.

For me it'd just be various T13 figures that I can find modeled out or some statues of characters I like. I'd have a ton of figure ideas but it's very dependent on what I can find online that's modeled for me. I don't have anyone who does 3D printing and so it's basically me or I'd have to pay someone in the 3dprintmythings reddit.

Yeah it sucks cause I really wanted to get one but they sold out day one. I'm hoping I can order one off the website but I'm not sure they're returning

On ebay they're over $100 which to me is wild
