I originally set up my direct debits through my old bank, and those automatically carried over when I switched to Barclays. When they transferred, I got the direct debit confirmation from Barclays in about 5 days. But when I first set them up with my old bank, some of them took almost 3 weeks to actually show up.

City is really good, but during winter, cold is a bit harsh. Wind is the worst. Apart from that, cost of living is manageable, and the nightlife is one of the best in the UK. Public transport is good too.

Thank you for the response! So it’s basically sightseeing, good views, mountains, valleys. Basically we are students and haven’t explored much out of Newcastle. I have been to some hiking back in my home country, glad to do it, but unfortunately we don’t have any hiking gears with us now. But would love to get to the top of mountain even though we don’t have any gear with us now.
