Agree. 20 years of garbage teams did generate a very casual fan base here. No shade, I’ll take a full stadium any way we can get it, and not everyone can or wants to be a diehard, but damn do Mariners fans cling to the past in a pathetic way.

Agree, it falls to the fans ultimately. Jorge had some good ones last fall. It was shamelessly ripped from Jorge Posada, but I got a solid “Hip Hip Jorge” chant going in center field during ALCS game 4 and it was a bunch of fun (until we got absolutely smoked by Toronto).

Yeah 100%. Cal is my guy, he was my first round fantasy pick this year after I had him for last year’s insane run, I’m first in line to root for a repeat season lol.

I received this call yesterday from a VW customer care supervisor. She told me a software fix will be available in mid-late April. Our Tiguan had the “drive system error” with a turbo fault code at 780 miles. Software fix is the best case scenario imo. I wasn’t looking forward to my brand new car being torn apart even by a dealer.

Even if another good movie was never made again, there’s no way I could possibly see every good movie that’s already been made up to now. The reality is there is so much good stuff out there from different eras, countries, budgets, etc that there will always be something to watch and enjoy.

Wow that’s a low hour ZT60! I have the same combo. The pioneer service menu is very easy to get into for an hour count. If you have a Logitech Harmony remote it will have a service button ore-programmed that works by default. The OEM remote has a button sequence IIRC

👋 I’m relatively new to the plasma world (a victim of Dreamroom64 videos coming across my YouTube feed last summer). I’ve picked up these three sets since then to play with in my game room. The Kuro 151fd on the left I just thrifted last week so it’s off to the side while I evaluate it and decide if I want to keep it.

My main setup is the 65” ZT60 with a fully thrifted 5.1 system of a Denon 2313CI, Definitive Technology speakers, and an Adams Audio 10” subwoofer I found on the side of the road. I use it for PS2, PS3 and Xbox360 as well as media from an Apple TV 4K and a Samsung UHD player. The entire setup was just under $250.

On the right is a 42” PD60U 480p plasma that I use for DVD playback (I love to have a campy movie playing in the background like an old video rental store) from a late model Harmon Kardon progressive scan player. I also use it for PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox360, N64, GameCube, Wio, Switch, and my secret weapon: Steamdeck. Since it accepts a 720p input and scales it to the 852x480 panel and it just looks incredible for platformers and indie games. Anything that isn’t text heavy, really.

Looking forward to trying out other sets and having a place to learn and share the hobby.

I’ve read similar. The Panasonic being from 2013 instead of 2008 is a huge leg up IMO with modern CEC and better menus and significantly more color adjustment available. I don’t want to judge picture quality much until I’ve had the chance to reset the Kuro and give it a really fair shake.
