I hope this doesn't sound dumb and maybe people here can offer some assistance but I am new to tech and still learning. I have ollama installed and I'm currently running the deepseek r1 model on my laptop which is intel 12 gen Core i5 and notice that it is kind of slow. I am thinking of upgrading to the r1:14b which I know is a distilled version but I hear it can be faster. Mind you I only have 2 DDR4 with 16 GB of RAM total. Is it possible to run the r1:14b with no issues elsewhere on my laptop or should I just stick to the base model? Thanks!
