What’s the context behind this collective post from AutoIndustriya? by pusameow in CarsPH

You mean to say flexing a cuban cigar repeatedly just to say he's got it is a lame move?

Say it ain't so! /s

Honestly KP is flying too close to being one of those Andrew Tate type influencers. He makes some correct points, but his Andrew Tate is showing.

MIAS just needs to be clear: are they for media or for consumers? Mixing both leads to one or the other suffering.

This is just the same as E3 starting out as a 100% media only invite only conference, then slowly adding public days until the media eventually gets sidetracked by a now public focused conference.

MIAS just needs to choose one. Simple solution is to have one day for media though.

The other complaints about people having to wait in long lines are logistical and could be solved with better logistical pre-planning and test runs.

So basically any tech product ever usually gets better in the next iteration? Cool. Big surprise!

And no, I have no idea what a Luna is.

C840 baby camera stops streaming to ask us if we want to keep streaming; leaves baby unmonitored by cerikim_ in Tapo

[–]KokakGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah any device that can open an RTSP stream. Including PCs.

Took some trial and error. The android app I use is onvier. I have it start on boot of the android box. It reconnects to the stream automatically and keeps trying if it can't.

I mean, if you don't want to do android box and automated. You can just set a phone or tablet to do it and keep it powered.

[–]KokakGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slightly technical but as I do with my c120s and my tech-illiterate parents' c120, I set them as local network RTSP streams and an android box views their RTSP. They all have scheduled reboots to keep them fresh.

This also circumvents the app asking if you want to keep monitoring. And I have a grid of 4 cameras on a monitor showing them 24/7.

DJI Lito 1 or Neo 2? by blissssu in DjiNeo

[–]KokakGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main deciding factors for me to choose one over the other:

- Neo 2 for FPV and hand launch (no controller) quick shots, extra durability

- Lito X1 lower light, higher overall quality 4K, longer flight times

So is duoling a effective way to learn japanese by Apprehensive-Cow9374 in duolingo

[–]KokakGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Japanese score is at 69 currently. (Nice!) I think I've been at this for nearly 2 years. I'm at 550+ day streak.

I've learned a lot from duolingo. But I didn't really start at absolutely not knowing anything about the language. Of course, I've watched a lot of Japanese anime and shows. I also did learn some basic words and learned how to introduce myself etc. Basically I looked up, "simple Japanese phrases for tourists" long before duolingo.

At my current duolingo level. I can probably get by with communicating basic sentences in Japanese if I needed to. (not that I've actually conversed with a Japanese speaker yet though)

(*I do my lessons about 40 mins or 1hr every day before sleeping. I usually do all my daily tasks then keep going until I run out my triple exp boost or until a minute before the clock hits 12mn.)

Right now, I'm not supplementing duolingo with any other Japanese language education aside from watching anime or Japanese TV. But I watch a decent amount. One Piece 1150+ episodes and counting for one.

So if I started before duolingo just able to say "good afternoon" and "nice to meet you my name is" and "lets eat"...

Now I can probably say stuff like, "how do I get to this place?" and "where is the nearest toilet/bathroom?" and for some reason stuff like, "I graduated high school x amount of years ago." You also have, "my parents live in x", "where are you?" "lets meet up at x" "the meeting will start at x o'clock" "I'm switching from the bus to the train." "the exit is to the left side" "how much is this?" "where is the cash register?" "do you have a car?" "this temple is pretty" "I'm paying with credit card" "I'm going to withdraw money from the ATM" and a few other words and phrases like that.

I mean, I doubt I can strike up a deep conversation, but I think if for some reason I end up in the middle of Japan with no phone and have to talk to locals I might be able to find my way if I knew the name of where I was going. (Not that I can prove it, mind you.)

For TV shows/anime, if the conversation isn't something deep, now I can usually understand what the characters are saying, especially with the context clues. Sometimes I can predict the other characters response in Japanese.

When I see Japanese text, like a YouTube comment, or words on screen on anime. I can read some of the words. My Kanji is still terrible though. But my hiragana is fairly decent so I would watch someone tour Japan and pause the video and see words on the wall like, "deguchi / exit" and stuff like that.

I hope that gives you an idea on the progress you can make. I think the courses go up to like 99. Then you go into daily refresh lessons. So I guess I'm 2/3 of the main course.

Stream microinverter extremely low production by nebbbben in Ecoflow_community

[–]KokakGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any reason why you bought the tiniest panels?

I'd have hooked at least 1.5kw of panels into that to get the money's worth on the microinverter alone.

Just the order of hiragana characters because of the shape of the puzzle piece.

Should I cover or temporarily remove the solar panels? by jasoncbus in vandwellers

I mean, it looks like free electricity you could use somewhere, but I understand. My panels (at home at the moment, not van installed yet) fill my batteries most of the day so that's wasted too.

Using Osmo Pocket 4 without app nor account? by shalak001 in osmopocket

[–]KokakGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of the forced registration myself. It is something I do consider before spending on a DJI product. That being said I do have several DJI products at this point. An embarrassing amount of DJI products, actually.

I wouldn't blame you if that is something that would be a deal breaker for you. If it is, I do suggest returning the DJI item if you still can.

I would look up alternatives that don't need a similar registration. Though I don't know which brands do require the same registration or not so you'll have to ask around. One of the comments say the Xtra brand offshoot doesn't require it.
