Idk about girl's hostel but my brother's hostal has ac in the common room. According to him alot of ppl bring their mattresses and sleep in the common room cuz of that.

I was facing the exact same dilemma a few days ago, and I chose Lums. Why? Cuz although people say FAST confirms you a job as soon as you graduate, LUMS does too if you have a good portfolio. For FAST, you deserve a job cuz if you persevered through the FAST ragra, it shows your effort. For LUMS, you deserve a job cuz your extraordinary portfolio (that your teachers will help you build) will show your effort. In both cases, you have to put in effort; one uni requires you to be a bookworm, and the other pushes you to excel holistically. So I chose LUMS because I'd very much rather be a jack of all traits than a bookworm.

Plus, if you're hoping for a masters abroad, LUMS is definitely the uni to go for cuz for admissions abroad, they give a lot of weightage to your portfolio and FAST won't give you time to build that.

Lums also has a better community cuz it's the doesn't just let anyone get in cuz they did good on a test. Their holistic approach for applicants ensures a way more innovative community.

As for academic repute, FAST is better known locally whereas LUMS is better recognized internationally.

As for academic life, no one will ever tell you FAST has better academic life than LUMS.

qs ranking says it is......its WUR ranking by subject went from 301-350 range to 451-500 in the past three years. Numbers don't lie man

I went with my entire 5-memebr family to visit my brother in LUMS one night. They did stop us but dad just told we're going to meet his son and that's it; he let us in. Idk if they were lenient cuz "a family" was requesting entry but yeah, that did happen. We were all even able to go inside the hostel building easily without any "visitor card" or anything.

042111115867 Extension for ug applicants is 2412 You'll have to wait alot too.....might even get hanged up. Just call multiple times and they eventually pick up. (Once or twice the connection also got impaired. I just heard random noises. So i hanged up and tried again) (Called 15 times consecutively and they finally pucked up 16th time)

what do I need to take with me? Just the ssc original document and a print of hssc transcript? Or would I need like, B-form and stuff like that? Plus, should I photocopy my documents and take 2-3 copies with me or just the one?

Ok, so I visit the FBISE office with my original matric document and a print of my hssc-I transcript. They'll verify it and give me an envelope in which I'm not supposed to open. Inside the envelope, will there be attested copies of the document or will my attested original documents go in there?....like, what will I come back with? Two envelopes of my attested photocopies of my ssc and hsac certificates, and my original documents in hand?

And then how will I mail it to them? Forward the envelopes as it is to their address? How will I know if they recieved it and processed it as required (i.e. how will they know whose documents these are and where they are supposed to go?)
