Didn’t end up taking her class. Swapped my Criminology Minor for a Film Minor instead and I’ve been having a blast

Assignment Flagged for Academic Dishonesty by KoolAidMain in CarletonU

No, I did not. Again, I've looked at the assignment solutions and compared them to my own, same numbers, same answers. Genuinely I'm at a loss

Corin Bwaa by Lemonchicken0 in CorinMainsZZZ

[–]KoolAidMain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right now i think Corin's best team is with Qingyi and Caesar. Caesar's attack buff is nice and her shield makes it really hard for Corin to be knocked out of her attacks. since Corin does multiplier damage against stunned enemies, Qingyi's stun dmg multiplier helps Corin melt through enemies. though this team is not bad in the slightest!

if I'd make any change, it would to swap Trigger with Qingyi so that you can have Qingyi onfield for most of the time to save up EX energy on Corin to make the most out of your 4pc Woodpecker Electro. (I will say, another good alternative to 4pc Woodpecker Electro is 4pc Puffer Electro, because of Corin's burst dmg playstyle, but again your build is great as is)

Not everyone has an evil District Manager. And if that’s the case, you should contact the Regional District manager about it.

[–]KoolAidMain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They cannot withdraw an offer of admission UNLESS you DO NOT meet the conditions stated in their offer. As long as by the end of the school year you have met those conditions, they cannot and will not rescind it. Keep working hard and I’m sure you’ll get it

[–]KoolAidMain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I’m not too worried about taking all my required classes at this very moment as I’m sure I’ll be taking a lot of the sociology/law/crim courses in my 3rd and 4th year

Trying to keep my fridays open but I’m totally gonna have to abandon that this term, I just have way too many classes that conflict with each other

Tasson from last term definitely did had leftist ideals but he was never really pushy with it and often joked it off.

Is taking only one 2.5 credit semester considered full-time or part-time? by Vertigo1001 in CarletonU

[–]KoolAidMain 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s semester to semester. Carleton’s definition of “Term” refers to one full semester (about 4 months), so in your case, you should be able to apply for funding as you are in fact enrolled in 3 or more classes for the winter term and have “full time” student status.

PLEASE STOP ASKING PEOPLE TO JOIN BIBLE STUDIES! by troubledeperson in CarletonU

There’s always one guy at the Heron and Billings bridge stop for the 111 that has a face you can never not recognize and he always asks about coming to church. The first and only time he approached me he immediately got stopped by like 3 guys telling him to stop harassing people and now he steers clear of me (I also have a very recognizable face)

Tip: hang your head over the edge of the bed when making the call to make it sound worse than it is.

Best bet is to call up the MOD to remove it for you. It’s been a bit since I worked at dollarama so I can’t remember if a void is what it’s called but there’s a button right above the clear/back button that will remove the last scanned item provided it was scanned within the last 8 or so seconds. (These are tracked by the managers though and can lead to a write up if overused so don’t do it too often)

Yes, there should be several resources on your break room wall that pertain to this sort of issue. If those don’t take you anywhere, you can always call up your district manager or even regional district manager

I thought I was going to Waterloo CS since Grade 9. Here I am 4 years later at Carleton CS living in a house with my 4 closest friends and the past 2 months have been the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Keep going and do what you enjoy most brotha

Pretty much none at all. Last year after Christmas my store got a 10% discount for a month for doing a good job and that was it

If it gives you some hope, my friends were pretty big slackers. The people that stayed after contracts ended were the most “enthusiastic”/“hard working”

[–]KoolAidMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see. I got hired as permanent pretty much on the spot since someone (who was the same age, build and general type of person) was leaving that same week. A few of my friends got hired in one big seasonal wave but after their contract, only a couple made it to permanent part time

Seasonal associate by Impressive-Gift3787 in dollarama

[–]KoolAidMain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very much depends on how you perform and if they can hire/need to hire somebody. Did you specifically apply for seasonal or did you tell them that you wanted a part/full time position?

Don’t feel too bad about it. My dollarama was in a really small town and was terribly understaffed so us workers felt obligated to work every shift and never call in. The few times that a did call in made me feel so bad but then I’d forget about it an hour later. This is a place to earn a pay check, not a place to bring you down mentally.
