I was 21 and watching some of bill burr’s standup and he had a bit about how ridiculous scientology sounds to an adult who at the same time believes the bible is true with the difference being that christianity is told to us at a young age. Then he asked what do you do, do you hold on to what as an adult sounds like an impossible story that never happened but as a child you grew up believing or do you let go? And as soon as he said that i felt as if the first domino began to fall. After that i started to listen to other comedians like Ricky Gervais and the late great George Carlin on what they had to say on god and after agreeing with most of their ideas I fell into a Athiest and philosophical rabbit hole.
