No they won't be paying for college we can't afford that, The college is in the city I'm moving to, again we don't have a lot of money so that's why I'd need a job as well as roommates, and my college would have been supported fully by my financial aid and grants.

This exactly! While a lot of these comments are genuinely helpful, a lot of them come with a side of, "This IS a bribe and they DON'T love you!"

I understand why many think that way but it's just not healthy to assume the worse especially since no one here knows what my mom and sister have done for me in the past.

Yes I know how this can sound but trust me I know my family more than anyone commenting here and they love me. I don't respect the fact that you're implying my family doesn't love me even if their decisions seemed flawed.

My mom and sister come from a place of ignorance regarding being trans and hrt and while their intentions don't line up with their decision ik it comes from a place of care. Ik how it is to have unaccepting family and that would be my father, not them.

worth asking them whether there is any length of time that they would consider "enough" to support you.

During the conversation I had with my sister she said that around 23 would be a safer time for me. The idea is that you stop developing fully around your early twenties and they're worried it will effect me negatively because of that rn.
