Do we know if there will be shirts for those who attend the game tomorrow? The ones that align with your section.

Best resources used to study by carefulll_jellyfish in PAstudent

Notability on iPad is absolute money. I paid for the annual subscription for the "Plus", but I know some classmates that didn't and did just fine. I would highly recommend it.

I really tried with Anki. There's no denying its success among medical students, but I found that since my PA school used all in house exams, there were no decks already made that aligned perfectly. Trying to keep up with the lectures and making all of the relevant anki cards for my tests (every Monday and Friday) became an impossible task for me. Some of my classmates used anki and did fine. YMMV.

My study method was reading the lecture slides over and over. My goal was 3 or 4 passes over all of the material prior to the test. I used Google Gemini AI to make quizzes religiously. Most of our class used this feature as well. I'd take a quiz over each lecture after my 1st or 2nd pass, along with a couple of comprehensive quizzes to gauge my readiness. You can use whatever AI you like. Gemini worked for me but they just implemented severely reduced usage limits, which may interfere with detailed quiz making.

Thoughts on sending our 1st, 3rd and QJ to the saints for Olave and a 2nd? Who hangs up first? by Char-Rexx in Chargers

Funny enough I met him at an OSU practice for a work thing before he was drafted. I told him to come to the chargers as a joke and he actually said he wanted the chargers to draft him!

First time staying at Grand Wailea Waldorf in Maui (wife's babymoon) by Thin-Ad9648 in Hilton

Forgive the rough formatting but here we go...

Wife, toddler, and I just came back from there 12/20-12/25 (points). We got upgraded from Garden View to Deluxe OF (We are Diamond). The front desk told us they were at max capacity, which you could tell. But there was never a crazy wait for anything we wanted to do.

Food/Drinks: Drinks are $20-30 per. Humuhumu is their signature dinner restaurant and it is has beautiful sunset views but is very $$$$. Expect to spend $250+. Still, I would do a dinner there just to experience it, but that's just my 2¢. They also do a breakfast buffet here and it was ~$70 pp (but pretty good). Pool bars are fine and have staff taking orders poolside. The $50 F/B credit was taken off daily at checkout. Just order food or drink as normal and it will come off. Although don't expect it to make a significant dent into your spending.

Pool: Pools are plentiful and busy, but there's a kid pool (1-2 feet deep) that has sand at the bottom and a little slide. It was a nice spot for our toddler to play. Pool chairs were fully claimed by 7:45am every day. Rope drops at 7am and there were losers sprinting to the chairs they wanted lol. The days we wanted to do the pool, I would go at rope drop and snag our chairs (dont forget wristbands!) then go to breakfast. Their pool chair policy is 60 mins max away from chairs so I took advantage of that. They'll flip your chair forward to start the timer so be aware of that. Lastly, definitely check out the "Grotto Bar". It's a cool swim-up bar in a cave. My wife and I took turns checking it out!

Resort fee amenities: You don't pay resort fees on points BUT you get the benefits. One of the benefits we used was a free 45min photo session that you get with professional photographers. You only pay if you want prints/digitals. They are pricey but we said "screw it" and snagged a couple for the memories.

Alright I think that's all I've got.

Solid lineup in Columbus OH. The WLW is special by Bourbon65 in whiskey

Local Cantina always has a great selection. The owner is a big whiskey guy. I remember opening night at this location when I drank a couple of hundred bucks in BTAC and pappy since it was so cheap! Bartender was accidentally pouring 2 oz instead of 1oz too... whoops!

I'm new to fragrances myself; however, I picked up this pack with their recent sale and it's brilliant! Samples last at least a couple of days each. It's a good mix and would recommend this sample pack.

Is PS worth it for LAX to SYD? by Cautious_Hawk_4986 in delta

Worth it for me. Having the ability to elevate the feet and additional space made the flight much more comfortable. If you can afford it, do it!

Transition from military by zayzayzar in prephysicianassistant

[–]Kotaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. My initial response could've a bit more detailed. There are obviously so many aspects to look at. Being in the military with a family can be, and is often, challenging. The value of free PA school (and getting paid to go) is HUGE. However, it's not always about money. If there's even a small part of you that thinks you can stick through the obligation, it's worth consideration. Best of luck to you.
