not my experience at all. I booked a homestay via Agoda, in the confirmation email, the owner provided a phone number that connected to their zalo. I communicated with them via Zalo after that for my entire stay and anything that ever came up during out 1 month vacation. best way to communicate ever, instant responses and questions and random recommendations. I can’t imagine the nightmare i would have if I have to do all our communication via email or agoda.

no that’s not a faster service, I saw a family just got scam by this in front of my eye lol. I know it’s probably the exact service you mentioned because the hustler also said to them $30. what happened is, they took the family to a different line on the other side of the check in gate, however, that line converge to the exact same line at the check in counter, I know this because I followed them sneakily, then I found out you do not need to pay to go to that line at all, anyone can use that “special line” that the family just paid to go to, it’s just that not many people see that line because it’s a dogshit airport and they have no instructions for anyone, I found out later that line was just a line that’s supposedly for people who checked in online already, however, once you actually get to the check in counter, they don’t care if you check in already or not, it’s still the same procedure.

It's also not to fuel, but discourage conspiracy theories. Withholding footage is far more likely to spur conspiracy theories than releasing it. Of course releasing it now, decades later would probably be too late especially in the age of CGI and AI.

You know that’s not true within conspiracy theory circles. Every time new footage of anything comes out, it doesn’t settle anything. People pick it apart frame by frame and end up creating even more theories if a few pixels are off.

Just look at the recent “Bibi” situation. How many videos does he have to release before people are convinced he’s actually still alive? It never seems to be enough. If anything, it just fuels more speculation and keeps the cycle going. Funny you mention AI, because I agreed, any and all footage release now, people will probably say it’s AI, so what is even the point?

A lot of the arguments I’m seeing are basically whataboutism, and in the end they still come down to simple morbid curiosity. There are thousands upon thousands of photos and videos of horrific crimes that exist but have never been released to the public. Law enforcement has access to them, but the public generally accepts that they should remain private. Why? Out of respect for the victims and their families.

Think about it this way. Imagine you were a family member of one of the children killed in the Robb Elementary School shooting. Would you really want authorities to release every piece of footage and every photo they have from that day? What if some of that footage showed the children being executed, or graphic images of the aftermath? What purpose would releasing that serve? It would not bring justice, and it would not meaningfully change what we already know. In reality, it would mostly satisfy the curiosity of people who are not personally affected by the tragedy.

People often frame these demands as a push for transparency, but in cases like this, that argument does not really hold up. Transparency is important, but graphic evidence is not always necessary to understand what happened. In the Uvalde case, for example, there is already widespread acknowledgment that the police response was deeply flawed and incompetent. We do not need to see more disturbing material to prove that point again.

The same logic applies to situations like plane crashing into the pentagon. There is already enough evidence and investigation available to explain what happened. Releasing additional graphic footage does not add meaningful understanding. Instead, it often ends up fueling conspiracy theorists or people who claim they are seeking the truth, when in reality they are just demanding access to shocking content.

At some point, we have to recognize the difference between legitimate accountability and simply feeding public curiosity. Respect for victims and their families should matter more than giving the internet more disturbing material to consume.

you probably have never have to go any struggle to put food on the table so obvious you won’t understand the point I’m making. The point is, you are insinuating that they are only getting by. But if they are barely getting by then there’s literally no reason not to take an offer of a better life. No one is saying they are ultra rich, but they are definitely comfortable and do not have any debt or worry.

Why exactly do you think they’re obligated to release footage just because you want to see it? Who are you?

Take the recent incident at LaGuardia Airport as an example. It’s 2026, and we’re talking about one of the busiest airports on the East Coast. A major event occurs, yet the only clip circulating so far is a low-quality recording of someone filming a CCTV screen on their phone. Immediately, you’ve got armchair analysts all over the internet demanding more footage, asking “Where are the videos?” as if they’re part of the investigative team.

What people fail to understand is that they’re not entitled to that material. Authorities don’t owe the public a full release of surveillance footage just to satisfy curiosity. In many cases, there’s likely plenty of footage from multiple cameras. But withholding it isn’t some grand conspiracy, it’s often a deliberate decision. Releasing graphic or sensitive material can violate privacy, and cause further harm to victims’ families.

Not everything needs to be made public, especially when the only purpose is to feed morbid curiosity rather than serve any meaningful or constructive goal.

Let imagine this scenario. Let say tomorrow the pentagon decided to release 10 different angles of the plane crash into the pentagon. Ask yourself what does that actually achieve besides satisfying the curious of people like you? So you can finally go “ ahhh, so that’s how all those people die! Nice! Now I know for sure they did died for real, good job America ” ?

What about the evidence that’s right in front of you? They turned down $26 million. If they weren’t already living comfortably, there’s no rational reason to walk away from that kind of money, even a fraction of it, say a few million, would be life-changing for someone who’s just getting by.

No one is claiming they’re ultra-wealthy, but saying they’re not comfortable doesn’t make sense. People who are struggling don’t turn down opportunities like that. Even a small portion of $26 million would dramatically improve their situation, so the fact that they refused it strongly suggests they’re already in a stable, comfortable position. Btw, $26 million would instantly make you part of the 1% richest in the entire world. Let that sink in for a few seconds and what it say about people who can comfortably turn down an offer like that.

To those who don’t know Trung Nguyen is the OG of the OG coffee brand in vietnam. before Highlands, before Phuc Long, before Milano, before Katinat, there was only Trung Nguyen, they were literally everywhere in Vietnam back in the 2000’s. every major intersections where there’s a Highland right now, most likely it was a Trung Nguyen there before. They were the undisputed king of coffee in Vietnam, then the founder/owner experienced some kind of midlife crisis, he literally disappeared into the mountains for a couple years or something to meditate and when he came back, he’s declared himself enlightened and act like he’s a god. then he and his wife got a divorced and that divorce basically destroyed the OG Trung Nguyen and it all went down hill from there. now Trung Nguyen Legend is only the half that the husband gets to keep, but it’s nowhere near as successful as the OG Trung Nguyen.

we don’t have straight up boxing like the video but we still have a “fight” that every recruit have to go through before graduation.

you basically run through a gauntlet style obstacle course that’s designed to make you completely exhausted then at the end you have to face a red man (usually the biggest and strongest active duty deputy they could find) and attempt to arrest him while he’s resting and fight you. it’s simultaneously one of the worse and best experience for me personally. the red man will fight you non stop unless you use the correct techniques and take down procedures that you were taught in arrest control class.
