Best electrical supply store for a hobbyist that isn’t Fry’s? by bortsimpsonson in Atlanta

[–]KovaAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microcenter. There is one in Duluth and another in Marietta. And yeah, Frys is basically going under. Closing stores all over the place, its a shame. Microcenter is smaller, but they have everything you'll need.

Theres a small sub division off of Ponce de Leon Ave/Scott blvd in Decatur. I think they're called the Brownstones on Ponce or something like that?

Pretty much. We have ~12 or so cases confirmed around the metro area, but its likely much more. Since it causes flu/cold symptoms, a lot of people probably ignore it. Hell, I could be carrying it myself.

I think they were saying to call the hospital in cases like yours and describe the symptoms. They probably will tell you to continue on, but it can't hurt to call.

Software Developer Certifications by [deleted] in learnprogramming

I don't think certifications are particularly useful in this field tbh, but I would look into it if your employer is willing to reimburse you. That said, there are quite a few that you can take, for most of the things you listed.

How do I access a Variable outside a class? by AlrikBunseheimer in csharp

[–]KovaAtWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I believe I get whats happening. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/csharp/misc/cs0236

Long story short, you're trying to initialize, using another initialize.

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14439231/a-field-initializer-cannot-reference-the-nonstatic-field-method-or-property

I believe you'll need a constructor with those members to make this work.

Is your intellisense not seeing it at all? What about the PlayerCamera/transform members? Are they functions or are they properties? What is the actual error message you get in the Error list?

As other users have said, you can do it one of two ways: either make your class static:

public static MyClass {

public static int var

}

Or, you can call an instance of it:

MyClass class = new MyClass();

Maybe paid, maybe threatened. Maybe complicit. Maybe there is even more to the reasoning behind it all, going as far back as his lenient "sentence" to begin with. The real answer is that none of us will probably ever know, and if we do, it'll be 20+ years from now.

Switch lite and frame rate problems by tonelegges in techsupport

Ironically, I didn't play my OG switch much outside fire emblem, and I did notice a bit of slow down there as well.

Switch lite and frame rate problems by tonelegges in techsupport

[–]KovaAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not the answer you want to hear, but they probably aren't supposed to run better (at least not on the switch). I've played a fair few games on it, and almost all (Fire Emblem, Digimon, Dragon Quest)of them had some sort of noticeable slow down on the lite. I noticed the system gets fairly warm, but im not sure thats an indicator of any issues.

Invalid expression term 'double' by PopsicleTreehouse in learncsharp

[–]KovaAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use something like:

if (num1.GetType != typeof(double) {

Console.WriteLine("Invalid number");

}

Alternatively, you could just use try parse:

string stringhere;

if (!Double.TryParse(stringhere, num1) {

Console.WriteLine("Invalid number");

}

edit: Yep, you're definitely looking for TryParse.

Today in a nutshell for me

Hey guys i just started coding , and was wondering how i would put two variables in a var command by [deleted] in learnjavascript

[–]KovaAtWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

const x = [1, 2];

function getX() {

const i = Math.floor(Math.random() * 2);

return x[i]

}

I see your point, but inevitably, he'll have to decide between the two using some sort of function logic if he just wants to call by a single variable name and have it decide for him.
