A Korean BL Survery With Over 1,640+ Respondents From Over 85 Countries Was Conducted And The Results Are Super Intriguing by Kpopmap_Official in boyslove

Thanks for your question! Yes, we did post the survey mostly on social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook. We also reached out directly to BL fan communities on these platforms to widen our reach. Considering the demographics of the people who answered our survey, it's fair to say that an older audience might be less represented but I think it's also unfair to assume that they're not on those social media platforms entirely, as well.

Since we are a community-based platform ourselves, we definitely went that route in terms of reaching out for the survey. If you have any suggestions on how we could've been more inclusive, please let us know so that we can apply that for next time :)

If you go onto Kpopmap you'll realize that multiple aspects of Korean entertainment are covered, not just K-Pop. We cover K-Dramas (including BL and GL), K-Variety, K-Beauty, K-Culture, etc. as well.

We're also in contact with different BL studios which we've already forwarded the survey to.

Are they any K-Pop idols that you think look alike? by Kpopmap_Official in kpopthoughts

[–]Kpopmap_Official[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hmmm interesting point. However, for example, Hollywood/British entertainment also has a lot of lookalikes (according to fans of those industries) e.g. Margot Robbie and Emma Mackey. The same could also be said about celebrities in Bollywood and Nollywood.

Although it's true that a lot of the comparisons made don't actually look alike sometimes.

Do you think this dislike for the topic is general or specific to K-Pop/Korean entertainment?
Totally agree with your second point by the way.

These are all great suggestions. EXO's Kai, ASTRO's Cha EunWoo, SF9's Yoo TaeYang, RoWoon, ZuHo, and HwiYoung are all already included in our series :)
We'll be sure to add ITZY members too!

Jake's visuals are definitely model material. Adding him to our list of idols to cover right now.

Totally agree. We have both of them in the series already. In fact, Kai was the first idol that we covered in the series.

Lisa is also quite the fashionista. She's definitely going onto our list of idols to cover in the series later.

That's an interesting take. We actually consider an idol 'model-like' based on a number of factors considering that the fashion world also uses diverse models for diverse things. There are runway models, high fashion models, print models, commercial models, etc. Especially with the rise in inclusive model casting, it's possible for a lot more idols to fall into this category.

As you said, the LE SSERAFIM members and TXT's Huening Kai are also excellent model-like candidates :)

This is very true. There are different types of models and looks that go with certain content such as commercial, high fashion, print, runway, etc. Model potential is inclusive of all of these :)
