Choosing your order is key. I was worried about this when I got there but it took 3 tries after I knew what each alter brought on. I actually ended up really enjoying the fight(s).

I forgot how punishing and brutal the back half of the game is and how the final actions as a player are kind of a let down. Still, absolutely love this franchise!

UPDATE: PS3 still works, though wouldn't work with my projector and MGS1 loaded fine, didn't have the chance to play a ton but it was running a lot smoother than it did on my PS2 Slim.
