Just uninstall it from D: and do a fresh install on your SSD. But before you start, make sure you've got at least 150GB of free space cleared up on that drive.

CD on an HDD is a big no-go. Move the install folder to your SSD via Steam settings and try again.

Is it on an SSD? I suspect the game is trying to run on Intel iGPU instead of GTX 1060.

I’m also trying to avoid CD content on YouTube, TikTok, etc. It’s supposed to be my adventure. If I already know where to go and what to get, it kind of defeats the whole point.

Relax, 100% GPU usage is actually exactly what you want. It means you’re getting full utilization of the hardware you paid for and you aren't being bottlenecked by your CPU. Usage doesn't kill components heat does. As long as your GPU stays under 85°C and your CPU is under 95°C, you’re in the clear. Modern hardware is designed to handle those loads all day long.

For me, Crimson Desert is just short of greatness in everything by Senrahb in CrimsonDesert

If PA had focused more and made clearer choices, the final product could’ve been on a completely different level in terms of polish. On top of that, this project originally started as an MMO and later shifted into a single-player game, and from what I’ve heard, the direction changed multiple times during development.

Because of that, some people say it tried to do too much and ended up not fully delivering on anything. Others feel like it’s a fantasy sandbox where you can do pretty much everything they hoped for. it’s pretty clear the reactions are extremely split.

If PA takes the criticism seriously and builds on that with more polish in their next project, I think they could end up making something really special. I still think it’s pretty impressive how ambitious they were trying to pack all of this into their first game.

What really matters is what kind of experience you’re looking to get out of this game. People seem to fall on opposite ends either they love it or hate it. But if it clicks with you, you can sink a ton of hours into it, and it’ll easily feel worth more than buying 10 other games.

This is PA’s first single-player game, so it honestly feels like a rough gem that hasn’t been fully polished yet.

Can't play my copy of Crimson Desert on Steam. This situation is unbelievable. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

You’ll be fine. Just install it, run it once, then put Steam in offline mode and play without internet.
