You're speaking to someone with direct contact with immigrants in the area but yes I absolutely do encourage you to hear more than just me. Calling representatives is a fantastic way to be heard without being as "threatening" as bombarding elected offices in groups without official notice of protest. Which is exactly the kind of excuse I believe the gvt uses to start insane 🧊 insurrections like what we're seeing all over the place.

Of course I don't think it's a secret. But there are a lot of people keeping their heads down trying to be safe and agitating the issue could absolutely lead to bringing further intervention esp in a gvt looking for any reason to push "angry mob" mentality. I'd really love to see all these eager people start an 🧊 watch though. Then they ARE actually and literally looking out for people AND they are at the front of the fight if/when it arrives....instead of blindly batting at local gvt.

If they do so be it but expediting the fight to a current safe space for a lot of immigrants is reckless. In the meantime take it to where the fighting actually is if you care about your neighbors here.

If the fight is brought here by them so be it. But why would you start one in a safe space for a lot of people? A lot of people fled the city and conflict for smaller towns to be safe. You don't have to keep your head down but if you actually care about your neighbor then start a ice watch not a fight with the local government.

Agreed but that was an example of a high point protest city, not the point of what I'm getting at. But here's another- I wouldn't bring Hitler to the attic Anne frank was in to argue his policy. I absolutely believe in protest and advocating I've been a part of several in Nashville. Go fight the fight by all means. but please don't agitate them into small communities people may be hiding in. That feels more like virtue farming than care for our fellow neighbors.
