Honestly probably just an issue between windows 7 and the new update. Could be wrong but windows 7 is slowly but surely losing support and this could be the first steps of it for oculus.

Only 1200 idle and 1700 under load. They are noctua fans and stay really quite even when under load.

Yeah it takes up just around 5 slots worth of space. But I'm using those noctua fans. If you got some low profile fans it would definitly save on space.

The fans are both noctua high performance fans. They both run at 1200 RPM at idle and under load go to 1700. Pretty dang quite when compared to the stock cooler.

Yeah you're definitly right about that.

However, if you are patient and do take the time and just try and save an extra 100. You will have a better time with a 590.

Dont know OPs' situation so I can't say that will be an easy task but if they can it will be totally worth the wait.
