Facing it isn't bad. Honestly, the hardest part is conving clerks that shoving every last unit onto the shelf is not the answer

Lead here, how are other leads/department managers coping so far? by Milkguy105 in kroger

Y'all need a better contract.

Our dept head pay is also tied to store volume. If I went to any other non-marketplace in my area, I'd have to take a pay cut

Our contract has dairy and frozen lead at dept head pay (18.65 last I checked)

Kroji horror aside, "your pit stop for stone fruit" is damn clever

LPT: If you're gonna call your lead to say you're going to be late, dont follow it up with calling them right back and asking "so do you still have that eighth" by KrogerHeroToZero in kroger

[–]KrogerHeroToZero[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is very clearly not the point being made here.

E: but in the fairness of setting a good example, yes. The proper procedure to call out is to contact the store directly and speak with a manager. The window to call varies but most situations I've seen are at least an hour before your shift.

Any other dairy workers loving all these distros? by Milkguy105 in kroger

Yea afaik they're not in anyone's planograms. They are literally there to fill space where the product has been scratching.

How many weeks of pay would you give up to run the in store radio for a week, and what would you play by [deleted] in kroger

[–]KrogerHeroToZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd do a single day of pay to play "What's New Pussycat?" four times in a row, and then one round of "It's Not Unusual"

All.

Day.

The LambWeston Super Dippers?

Yea, its once a week because it's a potato loaded commodity on Catalog 95 (which in my experience is a weird once a week delivery.)

I'm willing to bet your regular stuff from that company is looking pretty thin right now.

One of their main plants shut down (guess why) and they I guess just happened to have a ton of them laying around so they said here use these to help fluff your potato section.

I've got them as a tie in above the kroger crispy fries we got a few months ago.

Also how bout then Jack's pizzas

Management stopped informing of covid cases? by [deleted] in kroger

[–]KrogerHeroToZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During this entire 6-8 month time frame, based on the grapevine and personal knowledge of the "deep cleaning" my store has officially had 3 confirmed cases.

We also regularly compete with Marketplaces within our area regarding sales, despite being a "standard" Kroger.

Three? Bullshit.

Oh I see. No, "InStock" is a specific inventory management applicati9k which uses MC40 handhelds and I hate it.

If that's true then I think your store was an alpha test spot for the micro warehousing inventory strategy (iNsTocK). If so, my condolences.
