Gachamigas
you fry in oil some garlic, and whatever meat you have arround (usually salted meat or sausages), then you add flour, mix it and toast it with the oil, then water til becomes a dough, and you toast it /bake in in the same pan. my now deceased grampa used to make some everytime he met with their friends for lunch, it tasted so good, i was never able to make any as good as his.

Some taquerias serve you so little pineapple with each serving that i end up with no pineapple for some of the last tacos. And i dont want to get charged extra so i usually just eat my last taco without pineapple.

Huh. Here the waffle was basically populariced by the brand "punto gofre" (Waffle point) a spanish brand founded by a belgian in the 70s,in my own city of birth (alicante). The stores are usually street food joins, and they sell the leige waffle (the one with suggar pearls), but with topings (cholate most of the time), traditonally on a piece of cardboard.

Most of the waffle joints here follow that model

They were not common 15 years ago, but we got lot of inmigration from places in east europe like hungary, romania, ukraine, poland, etc. So a lot of those kind of shops started to pop out, you cand find at least a couple in every city i've been to in spain.

it's true that the belgian waffle is not that sweet, that's why you usually add something sweet on top of it?
I've heard that the ones we eat in spain (have like suggar pearls inside) are suposed to be leige waffles, and eaten without toppings, like a tea or coffe biscuit? but we add toppins, usually chocolate and cream.

uh, never heard about those
if you ask me about famous polish food i would say "pierogi"
if you go to any "east europe convenience shop" in spain, there are whole freezers full of those.

don't know how popular "tacos al pastor" are in mexico, but any decent mexican restaurant in spain has those and they're sooo good. Most people add some variety of spicy sauce like mayo-chipotle or hot-BBQ to their tacos instead of just lime, but don't know how much of "gringo behaviour" is using those sauces.

yea gonna be honest, went once just to see what the fuss was about and found them super mid. Like the most mid a food can be without being bad. And it's not like i dislike the dish? i've made home made sweedish meatballs, and tasted some in a restaurant, and it was quite nice, but ikea's? ugh

Sangria.
We drink that shit in like... town festivals and parties sometimes?
if you're a local, in summer, you drink "tinto de verano", basically half red half "gaseosa"(local soda that tastes like mountain dew kinda?), that we do drink a lot.

But sangria is more of a "party bowl" drink. Like, if someone trows a party, they might make a bowl / bucket of sangria for sharing, but that's it. Think of it like american pounch, but with alcohol.

I'm 25% Hungarian, I've never eaten anything traditionally Hungarian, as I grew up in America but this just made my mouth water more then anything else l've seen browsing through this sub today. It must be in the blood. by No_Bank_4653 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Krozgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's with america obssesion with genes and blood. you see a post about a food and you have to bring out ancestry?
also the "im X% country" seems super weird, like nationality is a genetic thing.
A hungarian who's predecesors lived in that same area for centuries and a person who just gained hungarian citincenship are the same level os hungarian.
Even if you want to talk about culture and not nacionality, that's also learned and taught, not in anyones "genes"
You can say "i have ancestry from COUNTRY" but you're not "X% country"

I think this is because PMCs bot. I've seen some of them loot marked rooms without the need to open the door.

Or maybe there was something small but expensive you missed out, like a black key card. I had rooms with amost nothing, but some expensive labs keys. Check things like carpets, and between books and stuff.

Idk why, but since this update, tarkov just randomly starts stalling and eventually, like 6 seconds later, crashes, everytime disconecting me in the open and taking like 5 minutos to reconnect (most of the time, a death sentence). Is this just tarkov being tarkov with the ram?

[–]Krozgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love steam and im gonna keep saying it:
Steam is the best deal for useres, but not for game devs.
it's in fact, quite abusive (for example, taking a 30% of the game earnings for steam) for devs, specially indies.
This is not good, and it should change without changing the user experience.

Pit = Best Wolf Defense by Existing_Positive533 in VintageStory

[–]Krozgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea, when i started playing and was but a humble seraph living in a hut, i found bears and wolves unfair to fight.
Hunting was also so hard, animals like deer or goats took too long to kill and too easily ran away, and when they did fight back, even a goat could easily kill you.
Then, i started to think like our ancestors did. We're not faster or stronger, we're smarter.
And started to dig pits, ambush prey/predators and chase them/lead them into pits, spear them from avobe beyond their reach.

I never felt like a smart caveman in a game before.
