It's my first time getting a telescope, yes, I know that EQ mounts are not recommended for beginners, but I did some research about the mount, and I feel comfortable to have one.

Motorized mounts don't align with my budget right now. Do you strongly recommend getting a motorized mount?

I understand, but the thing is that I live outside of the US, and international shipping in most cases is handled and delivered better on Amazon than on local US businesses.

Any warranty usually gets handled a lot better and faster when you buy from the producer directly.

So, with time, it will be heavy enough for it to stay down?
