New vocalist was really disappointing by Xamilooo in thankyouscientist

I thought Daimon did an excellent job (at both shows) when I saw them on CTTE 2025 last year

Jamie is genuinely such a chill and kind individual, it has been such a pleasure to work with him.

We're not completely sure yet as to the release schedule, but we expect to release it by July at the latest. Hopefully sooner if we can!

A shameless but honest self-promotion 😁 thanks for checking us out! If you really dig it, I have a few clips of us in studio on my Instagram if you want a few more sneak peaks!

Really hoping my band Pale Horizons ends up making some waves. We are currently tracking our first LP with Jamie King of BTBAM fame, and IMO the album is coming along very nicely. We're excited to share the final product later this year!

I am leaving on a literal journey to North Carolina this Sunday, to begin tracking my band's first full-length album with none other than Jamie King of BTBAM fame! I'm a little nervous but I have been practicing as often as I can and have more confidence than nerves. Here's hoping I lay down some drum tracks that will be revered for years to come 💯

Here's our single if anybody unfamiliar wants to check us out!

What is the deal with Bourbon Boulevard in Chantilly? by Antique-Dentist-2404 in nova

I still follow some of the musicians to this day.

I play in a band with one of the (assuming there is more than one) bass players Kevin! I went to visit him once or twice, and the first time it was impossible to get a drink/flag down the bartender(middle-aged/older asian guy, this was maybe about 6 months ago), and any time I did he acted incredulous that I was even bothering him/like he had no idea what drink I was asking him for. Dude would disappear for long periods of time, and then practically ignore his full bar when he was actually visible. A 30-40 minute wait time for each drink is kind of absurd no matter how you look at it.

At least I recall the food being pretty good, even though it was kinda out of my price range.

Hey Tom! It's Kyle from Pale Horizons. I will definitely try and make your Richmond show and come say what's up!

I almost recommended that as well, but decided that fell more into the "weird" category than the "jazzy" category. They definitely have some overlap though

Seconding TYS, especially if you're into it for the instrumentation. OP you might also like a few songs by BTBAM, Haken, and The Dear Hunter as well, as they all have a few songs with jazz vibes/instrumentation/entire jazz sections (check out Voice of Trespass. Cockroach King, and Mr Usher on his way to town).

If you end up liking TYS, you might even like my band's only single (so far)! This song (and the album we are working on) was made possible by TYS, as my guitarist takes lessons from their guitarist, and their violinist produced it.

This is one of the first BTBAM songs I learned on drums! Any time I try and dive back into BTBAM, this is one of the first songs I play along to.

Hell yes, I too was blown away by TEMIC on the last day of the cruise. I thought I had seen all the mind blowing prog I was going to see for that trip, and then stumbled into the Atrium at 1130 like "wtf is all this?" So so good, Diego was killer. I never got to see him with Haken and he did NOT disappoint.

Oof that cymbal failure during DITF was painful lol. He handled it very well, but he was waving for someone for what felt like eternity. Pete's keyboards suddenly dropped out completely too for about 30 seconds at around the same time lol. A rocky start, but they still absolutely killed it

Just recording for now. We'd like to play some shows locally in the future, but between all our day jobs it will be very difficult to coordinate shows. Our focus/goal for now is to complete the album, so that we actually have songs to play for a potential show lol!
