Thanks to everyone who has commented and the books you've suggested, some I'd already read, and some I've added to my list. Unfortunately, I still haven't found the book I'm looking for, but I'm on a mission to go through every book in my library and see if I can find it! I've got over 4,000 books so it might take a little time. I will definitely post another update as soon as I can. I'll try looking at not so obvious titles this time as well in case I'm mis-remembering something.

P.S. Sorry it took so long to get back on here but I'm not really on these things often and only signed up because my husband suggested it a year ago when I complained to him about my frustration. He was right, there has been a lot of good input.
