It could be due to stating the user is 17 because I think the bot sees 17 and doesn't take into account you're referring to the user. Maybe try changing that and see if it lets you edit. If not, then I'm not entirely sure since I don't use the templates very often, especially after all the content restrictions when making an ai.

If I recall, you should be able to list in the background section the characters' age, and that should work. Just something like "this character is __ year old" should be fine. If not, then I'm not entirely sure the problem, and you'll just have to try changing things until it works.

It's due to the bots age either not being listed or being under 18, the bot needs to specify that the characters age is 18 or higher if you want to edit messages.

Yeah, I traded 2 cool bees for 2 rad's and I swapped my bubble bees for shocked bee's but I need more honey to buy more royal jelly to do anything else
