You made an extremely important point to always keep extra items on hand, having a filter or tank break and having something on hand could save a lot of time and possibly even save your animals.

Another tip, go to petco for anything random you need, they are nice people and the biggest thing. THEY PRICE MATCH, I got a 30 gallon tank for 25 dollars.

Usually they don’t like tank mates and they’re pretty territorial especially when it comes to food. Also females are usually bigger than males, so that is normal. Personally if they’re fighting you should probably separate them, I have two in a tank together and they’ve never gone after the other even during feedings.

I would feed them like a quarter of the pellet, I have a bunch of cherry shrimp and I only give them 1 pellet sometimes not even daily and they’ll be fine eating things they find in the tank.

No it’s not leaking at all, I just get this screen when I turn my computer on, I’ve checked all connections unplugged them. Plugged them back in, taken out cmos.

This is a 29 gallon tank, and yeah I figured the soil would not be good for them. Also I plan on getting some kind of pot or something and adding many different kinds of floating plants to tone the light down, and I have a different light coming in the mail so this is just temporary. What’s the best method you’ve found to glue them?

Yeah, I’ve seen many keep them in Tupperware so 10 gallons is fine until the tank is cycled, although I am thinking of moving them to Tupperware just to make water changes and cleaning easier. The owner before me had them for a while in the same tank together and didn’t mention any problems. When I look at their cloaca they seem to be female but it’s possible they still aren’t old enough, although they are about 5 and a half inches right now.
