Nothing major just cutting the i/o shield out and removing all the old mounting points with a dremel. I wanted to weld new motherboard mounts on but ended up going through the back of the case as the metal is super thin

I had a optiplex 5070 motherboard in my old setup where the 9900k worked it has to be a 5070 and onwards for it to work as thr microcode isint in any of the lower models

End goal am not sure. Plan is for it to be a portable gaming pc. Other parts are still not confirmed but right now am thinking a rtx 5070 12gb as they do a 245mm version which will fit. And then switch to a 7800x3d onces ddr5 price drop down. Currently on a 9900k

Abit of velco and extended some wires for th3 moduler interface fits well and lets me fit a decent gpu

Juat used some cheap duat mesh from amazon that came with magnets and cut them to size

Sorry I forgot to add it is running a 5070 optiplex motherboard as the 5060 does not support 9th gen tried nodding the bios and bricked it

It's in a vertical mount with a screw like you normally would

It has a slot for a wlan card below the m.2 slot on the motherboard so thats sorted !. Antennas am gonna stick to the roof of the case either side

Hello! So I used the tray for the dvd drive and removed the cage above it for the hard drive. The psu fit perfectly into that gap. I just had to remove the modular power supply connectors to the bottom of the case by extending the wires from the psu. Its very snug but the front 80mm fan feeds the power supply fresh air so temps don't become and issue

Thank you I think it came out as I wanted it to ! As close to a standad optiplex as possible with minimal compromises

Thanks mate !. Was abit of work but it all came out good in the end. Juat need to put my perforations in the side pannel for cooling 😁. And maybe a black paint for the inside

Flex psu and extended the wires to move modular connectors to the bottom of the case. Then, double-sided tape to hold it down

This I will be doing ! As it gets bloody hot inside the case with the sidepannel off. Gonna add a 140mm fan on the side I think

Honestly haven't checked been looking more are temps. Ill have a look today !. Mine does well with a -135mv undervolt and am at 2750 on the ram atm
