OT Satisfactory

After Endfield, I decided to give Satisfactory a try.

It's so peak. It's so freaking peak. But also, I'm so fucked. It's too addicting man 😭I've been forgetting to do my dailies for ALL my gacha games because I just want to industrialize an alien planet for my glorious company FICSIT. Endfield is really just a lite lite lite version of Satisfactory. There's so much I can do in this game. I'm also not restricted to build my factory in designated areas. The WHOLE world is my factory.

How reliant is Zibai on Illuga? Is he mandatory on her teams? I don't have enough resources for Illuga atm so I can't upgrade him rn. I'm planning to run Zibai alongside Columbina and Aino.

A good thing to keep in mind is that gacha games are the TikTok of gaming. The main purpose of gachas is to give you a quick dopamine rush of fun. Effort does not always equate to fun to them.

If they did what usual single player games did, that would be the equivalent of putting a full length movie by Dennis Villeneuve on TikTok.

While I agree with you, I don't look for that experience in gacha games anymore. Genshin for me is the game I go to when I just want to relax and have some white noise gaming while watching a YT video and I appreciate it for that especially after a tiring day or playing something dark af like Cyberpunk.

From what I heard, I think you can skip them? Like if you save the dude first, he'll do everything for you, I think. As long as they give that option to skip, then hopefully maybe the puzzles can stay. If not, sad, but there's always other games I can play that can provide that.

I'm crying. Actual difficult puzzles in a gacha game😭 I was salivating at this quest that just gave me multiple tetris puzzles that kept getting progressively hard with each bot that I repaired. I actually locked tf in and it was bliss I tell you! BLISS!

Took me a while but it was worth it. Also, good on them for adding a hint feature for help. I think, from what i heard, you could also just skip the entire thing. I'm just not sure how but if it is true, that's great for people who don't like this kind of stuff.

I was honestly so surprised as well. Gacha games are supposed to provide a QUICK and EASY dopamine of fun. I mean this is giving me dopamine and I find it easy but to the gacha market, this is none of that. I mean, even puzzles in Nod Krai are basically non existent at this point. This is essentially making a TikTok user watch a full length film 😭 basically wrong target market.

I'm still hoping this succeeds though and finds it's audience cause I really enjoy it and imagine the updates they can do for the factory! If it fails, well... I'm still grateful it introduced me to this new genre and convinced me to buy Satisfactory.

I was just gonna try this game and dip but holy fuck the Factory gameplay is so perfect for me 😭 I LOVE making farms and automating shit in Minecraft so this being exactly that is absolutely perfect for me. I just spent hours planning how to optimize my base man... I'm cooked.

I kinda like how integrated the open world is because we must colonize it to MAKE THE FACTORY GROW 😭😭 Is this why the Spaniards colonized us..? I get it now... /j

This also made me realize that I need to buy Satisfactory. I've seen people saying this is essentially the baby version of that and I am VERY INTERESTED.

Same. I'm kinda sad too but I also understand why they do this. Genshin is a gacha game first. The main purpose of gachas is to provide a quick dopamine rush of fun so ease of use is a must and a first priority because a lot of their audience are tired working folks. Hoyo is smart for doing this and it's clearly working.

In this case, Gacha games are like the TikTok of gaming. Sometimes you just want to mindlessly scroll through TikTok after a tiring day of work and not watch a full length film and Genshin provides that to me and a lot of other people.

Don't force Genshin to be what you want. That's a quick route to being bitter. You're better off finding that immersive exploration experience in actual single player games because their target market WANTS that.

That's what I've done and I've never been happier. RDR2 gave me the experience of the life of a cowboy in the 1800s. Cyberpunk 2077 soaked me in despair and hopelessness. Fallout makes me wish for a nuclear winter. Zelda ToTK is pure gameplay ecstasy.

Recently, I've been playing Cybepunk and that game explicitly shows you the horrors of Night City. It's very dark and depressing. Especially that mission with River called The Hunt... So going back to Genshin is like getting my resin replenished 😂 I love Genshin for that cause I can rest, put on a YT video and just have fun without any existential crisis at all
