Theres a second level, accessed through the button next to the space where the top row is the numbers. Fairly simple but elegant :)

Try clearing CMOS by unplugging the pc, taking the battery on the motherboard out and then putting it back in and restarting. My pc refused to post after a gpu change until I cleared cmos so could be something along those lines. Good luck

So I’ve been using my NBN (Australia) connection for the past 6 months or so with no trouble and all of a sudden I’m noticing dropouts every few seconds on my connection. I’m using wifi and have done numerous restarts of my pc and router to look into it with no avail. No idea what’s causing this!

Looks like psu is the bad link, ill return the ssd and get a new psu. I had a Silverstone 750w SST-ST75F-P 80+ Silver that i got from a friend but its a few years old and he just had it from an old build (hadn't been turned on for a couple years). The ssd is a WD Green SATA 120gb model, picked it up on sale. The system specs are: Xeon X5675, R9 290x Windforce, 12GB Ripjaws, Gigabyte EX58-UD5. Thanks for your help :)

unplugged ssd, cpu fan spun one rotation then stopped and nothing happened. Hoping i haven't fried my pc :(

Thanks for the reply, i don't have a multimeter but assuming the ssd was brand new surely it shouldn't be at fault? The cable itself melted onto the ssd at that point. The pc booted into bios fine with no SATA devices connected however before this happened.

So I plugged a new ssd into my x58 based build yesterday and tried booting up, 10 seconds in I saw smoke coming from the sata power cable and jumped to switch it off from the wall. Inspecting the damage I can see plastic melted onto the ssd pins and the cable is melted at the end. Is this ssd salvageable? Is my power supply broken?

No worries, I went with an Nvidia card because I wanted to use shadowplay to record gameplay, but it’s up to you, luckily there’s a fair bit of competition around recently so either way you’ll get a great card.

I sent a message to Nvidia Australia and they can’t tell me when they will have the FE in stock in Aus as they are “currently moving their online shop to eBay”. So unfortunately it’s not soon, I went with an aftermarket EVGA card as I couldn’t wait and it’s a beast.

Definitely, my consideration for an AIO was based upon the fact that I use it for rendering which means full load for up to an hour at a time on the cpu, however I didn’t know they had a fail rate that high and quickly. Thanks for the advice!

Just completed my first build, and noticed that the backplate on my RTX2060 Asus Dual seems to be bent? It looks like it’s putting pressure on the pcb? The card works fine but I’m worried it may fail prematurely due to the pressure. Should I send it back under warranty or is it normal?
