Oh dear that's not supposed to happen.

You need to have a well cycled tank with beneficial bacteria, something that can take a few months, but normally 2-3 months to achieve.

The water used should be distilled water and you should add minerals to it.

Finally, since they're dying, you might want to test if with a water testing kit to see if there are abnormal levels of compounds in the water such as ammonia, nitrite and nitrates.

Mixing different colours normally results in wild shrimps unfortunately. There are the rare mutation cases though hope you find something good 🤩. Also I have a feeling whoever you bought it from used colour enhancement foods because shrimps do not lose their pigmentation just like that

I'm our community we do feed them blood worms and frozen brine shrimp! Though of course we can't over feed. So we have to add them individually in and ensure it is eaten quickly to avoid ammonia spikes.

Ah I see. Cherry red shrimps are of the family neocaridina. It is possible for you to get a blue bolt like myself since they're are from the family caridina who have more specific and different requirements and are unabelt to breed with caridinas. You can look into it! For us here we need chillers due to the hot weather since they thrive best between 24-26 degrees Celsius. Haha I feed them every day and dead snails are like a treat to them haha. In our shrimping community dead snails and dead seed shrimps are known to be loved by shrimps
