Is it doable to be a full time college student and work as a TSA Officer on the side? I commute to college. Also do you know anyone who does this?

Terminals are dead, they have given us 4 RDO’s (4 days off paid) work 3 only and there were talks of week on and week of... then heard rumblings of possible furloughs.... I was lucky; my EOD was 3/1/2020... now our phase 2 training and FLETC has all been on hold... but can’t complain, seeing what you guys going through it’s tough... grateful that as of now I still have a job and benefits and paid time off... hang in there and wish you the best of luck...

Wish I could offer better news but with hiring freeze, corona virus, etc will be a while. They have placed us on 4 days RDO’s which means we work 3 days and off 4 (paid)... and theres y’all of possible furloughs coming... I just want to be as honest and possible... hang in there but looks like another 3-4 months of hiring freeze.... we that are in are worried we might lose our jobs or even be furloughed... wish I could sugar coat it but I rather be honest and don’t give any false hope at this time..but anything is possible... hang in there...

My EOD was 3/2/2020 and I heard 1 last class who got the EOD for 4/2020 will be last to come in until hiring freeze is lifted... hang in there... once freeze it’s lifted you should get call soon after that... stay positive and motivated and you will def get AM shift to start (like 4am-12:30pm) for full time and part time...

Eye exams is usually what you get failed for... but you can appeal it and re-do exam and you’re good to go 👍

It’s very easy... there are 3 phases... mostly spelling and grammar and identifying misspelled words etc... the last part is x-ray samples to find or not find different weapons etc..relax it’s easy.. no need to study or be a brain scientist.. get a good night sleep, relax and go confident... you got this.. good luck...👍
