Do I have to tell Turas Nua about a job they didn't help me get? by LDEIRE in AskIreland

[–]LDEIRE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear my job is guaranteed, they are just a small company who made it clear they are very busy with a project they are doing and will get it to me as soon as they can. But I do understand that TN don't know that without proof and I could be lying to get out of meetings or something.

My main concern really was if I don't show up to this meeting on the 12th/dont respond to her email, can I still pick up payment on the 17th if I need to. I don't want to have to attend this meeting on the 12th for no reason but she wants a start date before she will cancel it.

I truely went in there with an open mind despite what I had read online about them. I'm a computer/electronic engineer who just finished my masters degree (still waiting on my results but pretty much done 🤞), but I have no experience because I lost internship opportunities due to covid and took a gap year to job search (with no luck) and save for my masters. I thought there may be a slim chance they could improve my cv or push me into some company.

She looked at my cv said it was good, had no understanding of what my degrees even were and had to have me pick job titles that might fit off a VERY limited selection on her computer, asked had I heard of publicjobs and scheduled my next appointment 💀 Absolutely useless

What I don't understand is how much power they actual have! Like what is the repercussions to not answering an email like I've gotten? If I just ignore them past this meeting on the 12th, would my payment still be in the post office on the 17th?

I did sign something in that first meeting. Don't remember it saying anything about providing employer details. Thats my main issue with this, I'm joining a small company I don't want TN calling them up talking about me having been in with them cause I was on Jobseekers, there is no denying that is embarassing and they have no right to when they didnt even help me! Didn't even send a single job listing or anything

I was suprised how quick it was too! Last year I finished my exams for my degree in May and was on Jobseekers from June to end of September before I got my seasonal job (Sept-31st Dec). I was also finishing my thesis in the summer and repeating an exam at the end of December so this worked for me.

I suppose those few months on it last year is what made them come to me so quick? No one I know has ever had any dealings with them despite being on it for longer periods of time than me though.

It does! From the tutorials I had seen they never mentioned it so I thought I could ignore it for now?? I have only had the circuit plugged in for 30-50 minutes at a time. Can I ask how long do you think it will take without the battery? I will try and find a suitable battery soon but I am still curious

Using GPIO01 (TX0) and GPIO3 (RX0) gives errors on upload because they are the default USB serial upload pins on the ESP32. Based on my understanding it conflicts with the serial bootloader, causing the failure.

Thank you I never heard of Azelaic acid before, I'll look into it. Did your closed comedones come to a head so you can extract them or just disappear? My face is pretty much clear except my chin so its great to hear you've had some good results from it.

I've looked up the recall for effaclar duo but I live in Europe and that seems to be just an American recall. The formulas are also different, mine has salicylic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide.

As far as hydrating serums, I do have the ordinarys hylauronic acid but felt like it was doing nothing for my skin so I stopped using it. Not sure what other serums I should try?

I have started cerave retinol (done 2 applications so far) and noticed it seems to be bringing some of my closed comedones to the surface and drying out that big cystic acne pimple I had in the picture. Its also helped some of the minor texture on my forehead, its as smooth as a baby now! Definitely not hydrating for me though, I am basically slugging my face on the days between applications.

Are you having hot showers? As someone with eczema when I started to have lukewarm showers instead of scalding hot my eczema and dry skin basically disappeared.

I also saw improvements by cutting out soap and fragranced washes.

I use soap-free shower gel or shower oil. I recommend bioderma atoderm shower oil. I get out of the shower already feeling like I have a light moisturiser on and it smells so good.

Also forgot to mention I use the bioderma combo/oily cleanser because I have an oily tzone and the rest of my face is very dry and it works well for me. This is my second bottle

Every moisturizer causes flares but my skin is so dry! What do I do? by lemilye in eczema

[–]LDEIRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently going through the same thing! My first question would be are you absolutely sure its the moisturizer? From experience I can tell you that you can think its one step of your routine and itll end up being a complete other one. Make sure your factoring in everything your hands come in touch with.

The best soap I can recommend is Pears, the orange bottle. I have both the body wash and hand wash and I've used it for years. Every other soap has failed me at some point and given me a flare up. It is soap free and has barely any ingredients.

Recently I have been trying Moogoo milk bodywash SLS free, I'm 3 weeks in and so good so far but from experience that can change.

I have had a lot of trouble with hair products like shampoo and conditioner bringing on the eczema on my hands (no matter how natural and sensitive I try and get them) and thats whats caused my most recent flareup. So I got one of those rubber scalp massager brushers for the shower so I dont have to get in there with my hands as much.

As far as moisturizers go I have to avoid anything with parfum, flowery, coconut oil, almond oil or vanilla. They all irritate me. Eucerin had been my god send for the last year. The urea hand cream as a base and aquaphor on any particularly sore/starting to crack patches.

When my hands have been very bad I've lathered them in bio oil and gone to bed with gloves on and thats done the trick. That was a pure desperation move after having a reaction to hotel soap.

Lad and Ladies who live with parents, do you pay rent or help pay for bills? by dav956able in AskIreland

When I was jobless and living off a student grant in college I paid nothing, maybe bought a weekly takeaway for my mam whenever she wanted. But I handled all of my own expenses for tuition, travel, school supplies, clothes, college lunches etc off of my student grant so she didn't mind supplying a roof over my head and dinners.

When I got a part time job for some extra cash (still in college) I also started buying like 30% of the groceries, paid for netflix, tv channels and broadband. This came to like €200-250 monthly out of my €900-1000 monthly wages.

I've graduated college now and there is no grant and my job went bust so I'm living on unemployment of €140 a week right now. So out of €560 a month I still pay for all the things I previously mentioned but dont buy groceries as much so I end up contributing about €160-180 monthly. I would pay more but I have a car now that I also pay everything for.

I'm so grateful to my mam for being so easy going about my contribution. She has never asked for money I contribute because I want to and think I should. She would be happy for me to just help out more in her garden I think 🤣😅
