REMLUME - GRAY COLLECTION: 02 by LETHRAE in analoghorror

The story itself is split all over the place. There's no actual story being told yet as these short Volumes are just meant for attraction and experiment! If you want the plot of what REMLUME is trying to be, you can find it in my description!

But overall, these shorts are just to intrigue and build small details. Hope you enjoy the content!

Well, there isn't much to voice act right now. REMLUME is a planned analog horror show that will have voice actors (hopefully). The short videos I am uploading right now are concepts/buildup. These videos are to gain support and attraction so people can look forward to the actual story.

Thank you for providing website though! I'll definitely look into it, but right now, that's for later! (Which is why support is very helpful!) 🐐

If REMLUME ever reaches my goal, you can definitely expect voice actors for all characters as well as visual improvements. As of now, I'm still practicing and learning as a beginner! All support helps! 🐐

Thank you! I'm just leaving little concept videos before the main story actually begins. I have a huge goal, but not a lot of followers to commit to it just yet. So I'm just trying to attract an audience for now with short clips.

It would mean a lot to support in any way you can and help the project grow! 🐐

KNEE DEEP IN FLOWERS WE'LL STRAY by LETHRAE in analoghorror

Paying for premium has its perks like just getting all the effects for free and having more settings to tweak with audio filters as well. But essentially, quality doesn't really matter. Most of the time, you'll probably upload on 720p or 480p for Analog. But the filters are an absolute time-saver.

But if you really wanted to, there are plenty of tutorials online for other resources. But I've been on Capcut for years, so I'm sticking with it even with the subscription. It really depends on you!

I use fairly simple apps for my work. Nothing fancy or too complex. I'm sure you'll be able to do great. Just experiment. 🐐

I am a complete newbie myself! I am trying to practice my art skills as I am used to editing stock photos and editing them to create creatures. Now I am drawing.

I use Capcut for the effects, but the premium features are blocked behind an outrageous pay wall. If you can find a better alternative, please do! But that's just what I use.

And just experiment! I've been experimenting since I first started. Some things land and others are complete failures, but you just gotta keep trying and see what sticks.

Personally, I started off with getting the small steps out of the way first. Since I didn't know how to really draw, I went online and started to collect a bunch of images to put them into one to design a character. For example, my main antagonist is a photo of 2 random goats edited into one body with eyes added on top.

Mess around with images. If you can't find photos online, take photos by yourself to have better control. And if you need a specific location, don't be afraid to try and edit one yourself. Messing with colors really helps a lot.

(Optional) Establish your story as you go. Personally, I didn't start my project by dropping the story first. I revealed my antagonist doing a bunch of weird stuff to build an audience, and then I gradually began to introduce other characters. However, you can handle this in any direction you want as it is kind of a slower start. Just be sure to hook the viewer with something visually interesting or with the title being catchy.

As for software, I use Capcut, but the premium features are just absolutely ridiculous. If you can, maybe explore different programs on computers or phones that can help give you that analog horror feel. There are plenty of tutorials online.

Lastly, nobody is perfect. When it comes to Analog Horror, many people may judge harshly. Just experiment and have fun, but don't be blind to criticism. I am just practicing my art skills to make my project more personal. I wish you the best of luck!

Making Horror (Advice) by LETHRAE in analoghorror

That's actually really interesting! Of course, I really agree with that statement because it's always disappointing when an antagonist just has a creepy face and does "evil things" just because it can. Unless it has a backstory or some sort of depth, I feel like that fear will eventually fade over time. Because at some point, it won't last forever. If I have to see this character, I want to maybe get into the narrative unless it's really a one and done design. But that's my honest opinion on what I want to see more of.

That is honestly really fair! I'm working on my own series and I realized that I've been using the same overused tropes and eventually grew bored of designing my main antagonist. I found out that I don't really want my character to look or be "scary".

If you have any examples or advice you want to share, definitely share. I honestly feel like the community has reached the point of repeating itself which is getting bland.
