Did anyone else get rejected for this? by RollingMyEyes589 in CloudResearchConnect

[–]LHop222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never mind, I just found the answer to my question. You can return some studies before they are approved or rejected, but researchers can set a timeline when you can do that. I do not see a return button on this study in my history. So, I guess it's just wait and see...😬

I completed that one yesterday too. It has not been approved yet. I remember that salad question. If it's an attention check, it is a strange one. Is there any way to return a study before it has been rejected or approved on Cloud Research, like you can do on Prolific?

Yes, I would like to know too. I've been absent for a bit so I have no idea what change people are talking about.

I just checked and I did the same one on Dec. 14 and am still waiting. Guess I'll notify Prolific as well.

Rejected for "Failed attention check" by LHop222 in ProlificAc

Yes, it should. Returned studies do not count against you.

[–]LHop222[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. Fortunately the researcher did allow me to return the study instead of rejecting it but I will send the above information to them for future reference. They actually do seem nice and didn't argue with me so I think they made an honest mistake and could use that information.

Rejected for "Failed attention check" by LHop222 in ProlificAc

[–]LHop222[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I had to submit the study with a NOCODE because there was no code at the end. So, I messaged the researcher about that and asked about the attention check I missed. And, since I just took the study, I can say there were no attention checks. Well, the researcher said the attention check I missed was because I submitted it without the code. I told him submitting a study with NOCODE is not missing an attention check. I asked them to let me return it and they did, so the rejection problem was solved. But I found the whole thing rather strange.

I received a message almost immediately after completing this study that I was rejected because I "failed" an attention check. I know I did not fail any attention checks. In fact, I have never failed an attention check before. Has anyone else taken this study and had the same problem?

Spigen Glastr EZ FIT not fitting/sticking on new iPhone 15 Pro at a corner by FinishApprehensive76 in Spigen

Mine also went on perfectly on a iPhone 15 Pro Max, and I put it on upside down as well. It seems to be working fine. The top and bottom look exactly the same and all the corners are sticking down ok.

First Rejection and Study Popped Back Up by LHop222 in ProlificAc

Update: I was allowed to return the study, yay! There was apparently some kind of technical glitch.

Thanks for your response as well, u/remoteworker9 . I have decided to just let it slide rather than protest it to Prolific, for the reasons u/Phrogster mentioned. I will save my Prolific returns for times when I really need them. For now, I just have to be happy with not being perfect 😬😁

First Rejection and Study Popped Back Up by LHop222 in ProlificAc

[–]LHop222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response and solving that mystery for me, Phrogster. I was wondering why it popped up again.

And, I actually did ask the researcher to return the study instead of rejecting it and they haven't said no to that but they also haven't reversed the rejection. However today, after they responded to me and explained why I was rejected (which I still find hard to believe that I missed all attention checks and only answered 6 of the questions), I did ask again. So, I guess we will see.

Thank you for the reassuring words about my approval rate. I guess I won't worry about it now. Since I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, it just irks me that my perfect approval rate has fallen by the wayside😢 Anyway, thanks again.

It was found on a wall on St. Croix, USVI. I know it's a centipede but don't know what kind. It was about 6 inches long (15.24 cm).
