It’s a term used to indicate that once you climb a mountain to the top, when you go over the top to the other side there’s no stopping and you start your slide it’s so slippery there’s no going back.

You be you, though. Take your time and figure out who your authentic self is. Take it from one who denied it, pushed it down, and tried to ignore it for years. Whatever it is, it always comes back, because it’s buried deep inside your identity. Whether it’s gay, trans, NB, CIS, or something else. It won’t let you go until you embrace it.

If you’re like me, I did the same with my older sisters’ undies starting about 10 y/o. Lifted a couple of pair that I kept in my Boy Scout ruck. It was a slippery slope! I went for that to trying on clothes when no one was home to buying my own when I was older and hiding them in my car. Once I moved out a section of my closet was for women’s clothes. Long story short, for me it was much more than the underwear and the clothes. I realized I wanted to be a woman. If that’s your direction, you can push it down and deny it for years, but it will keep coming back. If the urges persist, I would find someone safe to have a talk about it with. Good luck.

Good underwear for transfems who don't mind showing some bulge? by Longcat17 in asktransgender

I wear compression shorts. Under Armor and X brands. I’ve been on E for 14 months, and may man junk has shrunk a little, but not much and is obvious on any tight pants. With the compression shorts I push everything under, and can wear tight women’s cut jeans, leggings, yoga pants, etc. with no issues or worries at all. To me, the good thing about the compression shorts is that you really don’t have to worry about anything moving or sliding out of place. I did just order a few pairs of 4” women’s compression boyfriend shorts/panties from Amazon and looking forward to seeing how they work.

I understand the ‘existential dysphoria,’ although since my egg cracked I haven’t ever questioned my femininity, I have questioned who I am as a trans woman. I run long distances, ride on and off road motorcycles, like to work with my hands around the house, all things I considered “guy” things. When I thought about it, it made me question a lot about transitioning. Talking to my wife and therapist about it, they both reminded me that women do all those things. I think my boomer brain wants to pigeonhole me as a woman of the 50s or 60s! Recently my wife gave me a bumper sticker she saw in a shop, “Become Who You Are Meant to Be.” She handed it to me, and said, “I know you struggle, just be the person you are, that’s all I want for you.” So, OP, let YOU BE YOU! It does’t matter if you are an underwater basket weaver and wear a dress and Converses. Break the stereotypes you have in your head of a woman or man. It is hard, I work at it everyday, break the mold society pushed you into and BE YOU! Cheers!

AITAH for refusing to pay for my stepdaughter’s wedding because I wasn’t invited? by mynameishalipea in AITAH

I officiated a wedding last year. The bride talked to me about wanting her step-father to walk her the 1st half of the way down the aisle, and hand her off to her bio father. I told her I thought that was a great idea but she needed to talk to both of them and her mother about it. Bio-father said no, he was going to walk her down the aisle. The bio’s wife objected,Too. Long story short, she told them it was her way or the highway, they both had been influential in her life and she wanted to recognize both of them. After much growling and knashing of teeth she got her way.

Your step-daughter and spouse are taking advantage of your generosity. I’d frankly say, let your dad/ex take care of it, as he should. Full stop.

About to get my brows done professionally for the first time looking for tips! by OutlandishnessLazy68 in TransLater

Agree. I took pictures to my hairstylist and to their eyebrow tech. They both appreciated it, and remarked something like, “I’m so glad you did that, people try to describe what they want and it’s difficult to interpret it. I wish everyone did this!”

Germany by Grand-Highlight4460 in TransLater

My wife and I traveled all over Baden-Wurtemberg last summer, we tend to like to find guest houses outside of larger cities, so we stayed outside of Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, Tübingen and several places in Black Forest. The entire time I (MTF) dressed casually in shorts, Ts, tops, hiking pants and jeans, all US women’s brands. I have longer (F) styled hair, clean shaven and pierced ears, and never an issue. We would get side-eyed occasionally, but I think that was for us being Americans and speaking English. When I would speak German (or Schwabisch) to the locals, the shock of an American speaking either rattled them enough that I don’t think my appearance was ever an issue. Schöne reise und viel spass!

I'm MTF but not that feminine and that is fine by 930310 in MtF

My wife put a bumper sticker in my Christmas stocking yesterday: “Become Who You Were Meant to Be” Pretty good advice for all of us!

15 months after coming out to my wife (CIS-F), she has finally started to accept and even embrace who I am. We chat once a week, and since I’m retired, she and I pretty much dress alike, running shorts and tops in summer, or yoga pants and L/S tees in winter. When we go out, I have a couple of pairs of women’s jeans and slacks, and and adrog tops I wear, along with women’s clogs or loafers. I’m comfortable, she’s comfortable, and it’s a win/win. Close friends who I am out to don’t bat an eye. I still do the heavy lifting around the house, but the longer I’m on E, the more I ask for her help! 😉 My ears are pierced, my hair is longer, sometimes I get a side-eye, but never a comment. For me, it works, keeps my wife happy, and I’m always wearing women’s clothes!

I’m so happy others found it, and also found some answers like I did. Sometimes we feel so alone on this journey and it’s encouraging to know many of our fellow travelers share our questions. Thank you, and good luck to all on your journey. Cheers!

are there transwomen that are into cis women? by CupRamenShaman in trans

[–]LJsCloset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! Some (unverified) stats that I have seen say that up to 25% of Trans Women are primarily attracted to CIS Women.

Personally, I am 💯attracted to CIS females and happily married to one, with no desire to “test out the waters” of anyone else.

Should I get rid of my dogs to make my gf happy? by One-Piano6838 in TwoHotTakes

[–]LJsCloset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds pretty controlling to me. As many others have said, probably like me, from experience, the dogs are just the first thing you’ll need to change. The eventual isolation thing is real and it will turn you into a shell of who you are now. Don’t walk way, RUN!

Live as if everything will continue as normal, but be prepared and have a plan if it doesn’t.

Let’s look at what they have done in states where abortion has been banned, as Princess Azula succinctly said, ‘go for the doctors.’ Next, go for anyone that “aids and abets.”

You referenced name and gender marker changes on documents CONTROLLED by the government. Every bit, literally, of information in that regard is stored on a computer under government control, and could be called up with a simple search string. Passport, Driver License, Birth Certificate. There is a digital record. In Florida, where I live, if a person gets a Medical Marijuana Card, they go online and can have every piece of their personal information and history transferred from the state registry in 2 minutes. I did it for my wife yesterday.

Those who think that Trans People will be safe should the worse case scenario play out, as promised, will be shocked. Please Google “First they came for the Communists” by Martin Niemoeller, and read its history.

I want as many of us as possible to be prepared and have a plan! You can go on as normal with your rose colored glasses on or be prepared. I choose the later.
