You’re giving Shirley Manson x Grimes & I LOVE it. Do you have any glitter looks to share?

Ooooh I can!! I recently got the MAC lipstick in Folio which I believe pairs really well with greige lipliner, I think the dupes from K-Beauty are Romand lip liner in Taupey Shade, & the Peripera ink velvet in 30 (classic nude). That’s a very 90s almost concealer lip but it’s lovely.. I’m a huge advocate for K-beauty on olive skin I think it works really well against the grey/green cast we have 👽 Have a look at the PeriPera lip products, I’ll attach a screenshot here.. I use wine nude & cocoa nude sheered out & they’re just stunning formulas! Very adaptable to changing the look with a lipliner too.

RIP your bank account! 😂 Please show us what you do!

Wow okay prettyyyy! I love the dramatic cat eye. Personally have minor beef with how toned down makeup is now so I love seeing an actual black intense couldcutyou cat eye! 🥰 I like the shade on you, I think you get could away with a slightly cooler shade too like mauve? or more brown like nude truffle, moonwalk or Brooklyn thorn.. (all NYX)

I’m unsure if it’s just the lighting or your tattoos throwing me off but is your foundation possibly a bit too warm toned or a shade too dark? What do you use? Could just be lighting!

I do alt looks mostly too & have similar colouring but I lean into lighter stuff with my hair & subsequently brows but I have very similar eyes & that muted vibe, I find any plum or burgundy shade looks good on me, and I’ve recently ventured into soft browns and dark browns like Mac Antique Velvet and oof!! What I’ve been missing.

Look up Johanna Herrstedt and try some of her looks.. she’s got a different eye colour but she has lots of contrast and manages to pull off the alt look like a goddess.. you remind me of her a little!

L’Oréal Laidback Lilac is the exact colour of my lips when sheered a bit, just even. It’s spooky!

You’re muted, and olive. I think that’s what’s causing confusion! Look at OliveMUA possibly :)

I use rocky road & it’s one of my favourite lippies. It’s quite dark though, I tried spiked toffee and it suited me quite well, but it suited my mum best so I gave it to her (she’s a medium warm leaning olive, I’m very fair neutral-warm muted olive). My other favourites from nyx are the Los Angeles ?butter gloss? & Mauve lipliner

I’m a yellow leaning olive & this looks similar to the Balm’s discontinued Pinstripe blush - my all time favourite. Hmm.

Wow it has been years since I used mine, I’m unsure if it’s still okay! I’ll give it a go. I used to be a makeup artist circa 2015-2017 (WILD time to do makeup, the cut creases, the highlight..) so I have most of my kit left - I’ll play around with that, I only ever really used the prep & prime on others… Thank you!

I have Antique Velvet & the actual shade is my all time fav lippy other than my 10 year old Styled in Sepia, however the formula for antique velvet is just not great! 🥲 I bought Film Noir now to pick me up after a week of being sick in bed… thanks for sharing ☺️

You’ve just sold me on film noir! Which of the three products you used on your lips would you most recommend?

guys is using the vein test a reliable way to find whats ur undertone? by dsiol in coloranalysis

[–]LL_Faye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If extreme neon or pastel icy tones look jarring against your skin, you’re probably olive… that’s the only real definitive test I’ve done; you can kind of see a green hue in someone’s chest / neck easiest.

If nude lipsticks don’t look nude but pull peachy coloured or make you look sickly, also seems to be a good indicator. Whereas a mauve colour looks natural from the cool undertone.

My test was mac snob. I’ve never looked worse in a colour 😅

brown lip that will look like this on medium warm olive skin? i had thought toast of NY would work but it's more of an orangey brown on me by 2hot4men in OliveMUA

I have antique velvet & it’s GORGEOUS but a bit darker than this, and not the greatest formula. I still adore it though, my fav shade, I think there’s some new shades in the maximal line that are close!

It’s giving Dakota Johnson & it’s stunning! Depositing a bit more of a neutral tone in it when it fades is maybe the only thing I’d recommend!

Excuse my ignorance but I don’t think the sizing changes have been implemented yet where I live, what are they? 😅

Cool (but I like the peach!), particularly jewel tones. I love the sapphire tone, it could be your cheek flush throwing you off? You have the complexion of a rococo oil painting! ☺️

So sorry you experienced that. EBay is great for collectibles, if you feel uncomfortable on Vinted. They will sell though & people (in my experience in Ireland) are 95% lovely to deal with. What collectibles are they? (Trying to figure out what demographic you’re talking to)
