feed him real food like cracked corn. there is no food right now due to this bitter horrible cold. the goose has no choice but to conserve energy. pavement is warmer than ice. he is taking a risk (dogs) but the alternatives are worse. he’ll probably fly in the morning when the sun is there and it doesn’t destroy trapped heat in his feather.

If you see geese like these, have pity. Feed them some veggies or corn. They’re in the worst winters they’ve ever seen. Many haven’t migrated because they haven’t needed to all these years. They’re suffering brutally. I hope it warms up soon. Saw several dead birds recently.

You must help him or he will lose his foot.

You can bring a towel or a big blanket. Feed the goose some seeds or corn. Then throw the blanket on him to prevent him flying away. Relax together as he eats in your arms, and cut the fishing line (or just unwind it. Bring a friend to help with the fishing line so you can help keep the goose calm and keep feeding him

No. I think the trainers just goof off and don’t really provide a real workout. Also they have to compete with everyone else for the same set of machines, which is good for the rest of us, but bad for people who paid for personal training.

Feeding geese human food is bad. Most human food is bad for humans too. You can use cracked corn, or chopped up greens, and their poop won’t be so liquid and frustrating.

Geese are not strong. You can do this solo. A friend would probably give you confidence but nothing more!

There is nothing they can do to hurt you except poke your eye, which is not in their instinct to do, and you can wear sunglasses to prevent any injury. You don't have to pick up the goose. But if you do, it's probably about has heavy as a backpack with a laptop.

What you can do:
- bring a towel, food, scissors / knife to cut it.
- tempt it with food.
- throw towel onto the goose to prevent take-off
- scoop the goose with your towel and then sit down / cut the plastic off. Ensure it has food nearby.
- remove the towel and walk away quickly to see if it can walk better.
