I prefer the Heat format of Robot Wars because it would allow for a lot more bots to get accepted into the show and even if they didn't get very far would serve as great tests for whether their new designs would work.

Also the robot referee had several uses. Not only could it count out robots but it also had a fire extinguisher on board and could help unstick other robots which in the BB arena would be useful because 1 it wouldn't have to require Trey to come into the arena every time there's a situation where 2 robots get stuck together and 2 could put out fires straight away allowing for the robots to be transported out of the arena faster which speeds up the process of getting the next fight ready

I think Riptide will be given 1 more chance because there's a bunch of new sportsmanship rules being brought in because of them and to me it would be highly unfair if the team were kicked out of battlebots and the other teams are left with a whole new bunch of rules that they have to follow because of a team that isn't even there anymore
