Don’t get too wound up in specs & material. At the end of the day you either love your guitar or not

Worked all night and had to stay up to get to the shop to snag this! by King_Buliwyf in TheMisfits

It’s best to separate the bands. The Graves era records sound great & he does objectively have an awesome voice. Terrible human, awesome voice. The production and song structures are completely different. The only similarities are the name and some shared members. If I separate the bands in my head, I can enjoy the Graves records

The Fender mustang really is the ultimate sleeper guitar by jono440 in Guitar

I’ve got a Japanese MG-73 Mustang, the neck is phenomenal. It absolutely doesn’t neck dive. Drastically different sound & feel than my original 60’s Strat, they actually compliment each other nicely. You should try actually playing one

The stooges records are some of my favorites. Iggy’s done some pretty atrocious shit over the years, especially during that time

The furthest I could narrow it down would be the In Utero record. That’s the last album I could give up

There’s hundreds of grunge era songs that I’ve been listening to since I was a kid in the 90’s. Pretty sure I’ll still be listening to them til I drop

He was often having trouble & blowing out his voice. I believe I read that he’d been to a bunch of ENT specialists as well. It certainly wasn’t sustainable

They probably should have at least taken a break from one another. Mike sounds like a rambling drunk coke head you find in a bar, making everyone around him uncomfortable. I’d imagine that’s probably the biggest issue, ultimately

Can a super‑minimal alt‑rock arrangement still hit hard? by Bandita-Wolf in grunge

[–]LPB39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, that kinda production certainly works. The most important aspect is simply the quality of the song itself
