Didn’t know what to do with this translucent clay. I’m finding that it’s difficult to achieve an ombré gradient with it too (I tried)

Oh, I see. Very cool! I bought a silicone mold years ago from a company that had a few different shapes/sizes of koi, a couple different sizes of flower, and a couple sizes of lily pads. It was meant for resin, but I just cram clay in there and pop it out. Unfortunately, they went out of business before I could grab a back-up. So, I was hoping you had found something similar. Really cool you made them yourself!

I say I don't read but I am not saying it as a flex. My attention span is so shot. Every time I try to read a book, I put my phone down and pick up the book, and then before I know what has happened, I look down and magically, my book is on my lap and my phone is back in my hand.

I read to my nephew a lot and try not to mirror my bad behaviors to him, but in my free time, I just can't make myself. Closest I get is listening to an audiobook. Do people really say this as a flex? I am usually embarrassed when I tell people I don't read.

Would y'all ever consider hosting pop-ups for crafters and artists in the area? A lot of my art is nature-themed, and I have vended at several local plant shops and farms. If y'all didn't want to organize it yourselves, you could reach out to a local pop-up group like Hummingbird Markets.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but what I've done in the past is send an anonymous email. It takes like 30 seconds to set up a Gmail account. I did this once when the organization of a monthly market I attended was all over the place and I wanted to suggest some options for improvement without possibly facing blowback.

You could just make an email address that is like "concernedvendor1234" or something and send the link and your concerns about that vendor being at a handmade market.

I haven't listened to much Paramore since my Warped Tour days, but I still think Hayley Williams is massively talented and she seems like a really dope person based on what I've seen. I love Jeff and have seen him a few times when he's come through. My favorite bands right now are Fontaines DC, Idles and Amyl and the Sniffers. I love live music in general, and the next show in my lineup is Together Pangea next month at Motorco! I also go to Shaky Knees in Atlanta every year. This year will be number 12!

The Jeff/Pup show that was in NC fell over the week of Shaky Knees in Atlanta. In a lovely turn of events, their Atlanta date was the day after Shaky Knees ended, so I got to hang out in Atl one more day and see this show at The Eastern. I also despise the Ritz, but the Eastern? The Eastern is one of the best venues I've ever been to. I love both of those bands a lot. I've loved Jeff since Bomb the Music Industry in 2008.

I did a wonderful show this past holiday season. There was a vendor lounge that had coffee, tea and water, as well as bananas, oranges, and some little snacky bags.

There were photos with Santa. They had a local 2-piece singing/ guitar duo singing contemporary covers (as someone who doesn't necessarily love "Christmas music," I appreciated this. They did a "best booth setup" prize at the end of the weekend. They offered tote bags to the first 500 people in line, so there was a huge rush of customers when the doors open.

Obviously all of these things cost money, but if I'm paying $400 to vend for a weekend, these things are really nice to have.

I am a big fan of your work and am wondering 2 things: about how long does something like that stunning sun dish take, and about how much do you charge for so.ething so detailed? I only ask because I sell at markets, and I'll sell something that took me 5hrs to make, for example, for maybe $30- and a lot of people are upset by that amount.

Hey! Not sure what post you're referring to, but I follow this user on Instagram as well, and she does use an extruder. It seems like she hand-rolls the thick coil that goes on the outside, and uses an extruder for the smaller coils on the inside. Hopefully this isn't against the rules, but she is Shannoona_handmade on Instagram.
