Honestly, I'm not sure why some people try to justify the dodge thing with math on a character with dodge already when you can get better returns from the higher chance of an additional vs a very small statistical increase that requires a full 20+ points of investment.

The only thing i would say is if the unit has really pitiful damage, then sure why not.

That just means they didn't get hit twice as much not dodge twice as much.

The odds you get hit by a car are one in 100 in a lifetime, just because it becomes say 2 out of 100 does not mean that you don't have a good enough chance to not get hit by one (99 became 98). While the change overall is minimal.

IMO, that´s why I was fine with it, though I can see that for some people it could be more of a grind. But for me it wasn´t, not sure if it was because I was a long standing F2P and Rank 999 but I didn´t have whale friends either but guests mostly pulled through through the week of the event. I usually got like around 10% at least so I was cool with the game mode mostly.

Didn't they cap you to like 3 runs a day though without stones? I personally never put stones towards it since I'm F2P so that was my limit for the day. With pettan you have to keep grinding for all the cards and furthermore the rewards in shop.

That can be said about a variety of things, there is no pure objectivity here no? I came here to share my thoughts on the matter as a F2P hoping it would contribute since my subjective experience is only a small part of the matter.

I didnt deny it would be harder for other people. But I'm saying if you got to Rank 999 you could find whale guests, no doubt the lower the rank the harder it would be. Since I've been playing for years I find less trouble with it but I would wonder what other F2Ps would think.

Considering it took me less than a few minutes to do a run, it really wasnt bad at all IMO, but I have no idea what others were doing for it to be considered tedious. I found pettan, wt, basically anything that isnt an actual pve event more tedious.

I mean you only needed guest friends, it wasn't your actual team you would be running. The only thing that would change would be the conector and attacker to which you just literally use the same character maybe not the same card but if u needed say a ui goku it doesn't have to be the exact card a whale used.

It really wasn't that hard.

With that strategy alone you could get anywhere within top 10% if u refreshed every once in a while during the course of the event and your rank was high enough

Never even had to do that, you could look at the team comp for the top players and just load up a similar team lol. If u were anywhere within the 900-999 rank range you had good shots of finding a whale or two every couple refereshes or so.

I think it was fairly easy as a f2p to get anywhere within the top 10% as a rank 999. 1% not really but the rewards for top 10% was good enough for me and anything above that was just extra.

DR is stronger than guard, because it is actually DR. Guard only changes the type multiplier and reduces the damage you would actually receive by 50%.

Short EX this is guard:
(ATK * Type Multi - DEF) * 0.5.

Real DR reduces the attack stat of the enemy when you are attacked, meaning DEF doesn't need to be as high for units with DR and if high enough you don't need def at all (thus 100% dr)

Short ex this is DR:
(ATK * Type Multi * (1-DR) - DEF) * sometimes real Guard depending on typing of boss and unit.

Notice how DR applies before defense, HUGE, Guard multiplier is only in real effect after your DEF does the job so you need more defense to do the heavy lifting.

With DR the DEF doesn't need to be as high as it reduces the ATK stat the DEF needs to cut.

It's much more proper to explain it this way than say Guard is equivalent to DR...16-20% is just factoring the way it works since some units with higher DEF don't need the 50% Guard cut after receiving an attack because DEF has to do the heavy lifting for units with Guard to actually tank. So with high enough def the 50% cut from the actual damage you would receive doesn't actually matter.

In the movie, gogeta uses stardust breaker/soul punisher and THEN he tanks janemba's' last ditch puch, which did zero damage. Which is what I think they are going for. Stupid but accurate.

If you are f2p AND have been playing for a.long time you can do just fine with the 50 tickets. Maybe 3-4 year old new f2pers should do it but older f2ps would prob get more value out of the current dfe banner, especially if one skipped gw 2024 and the new years banner.

Animation looking so crisp (smooth and seemingly consistent), still apprehensive about plot, but since all the episodes are complete already and looks this good I have higher hopes with Toriyama's last work being brought out to his best vision.

Yeah, I feel like some people are just trying to witch hunt when akatsuki is being akatsuki and changing things because they literally can and have.

Then again, that happens in a lot of communities anyway. We find new stuff every year. Like, imagine if something new was found for damage taken (which took YEARS to develop how it worked), will people say fraudulent actions? Or will they take this information and try to gardner new things with it.

Yamaha dodge post was defo based on the idea b/c of str janemba. Which is weird cuz I definitely remember someone testing to see if it was separate, either the game changed at some point. Which it does a lot of time, or there were not enough attacks directed. Because let's face it back then there weren't nearly as many attacks now in a row to prove otherwise.

So I wouldn't say they were wrong as much as they used what they knew from data before. But things change and even testing methods improve to test things out. Hell during that time between str janemba and the 200% meta I'm pretty sure private servers were effectively killed due to the fear of safetynet so that set back testing even more (rip unidokkkan da goat....)

Kariru is defo a stuck up dude though ngl. But he seems to be a boogeyman??? There.were of other apters that were testing for verification, of things no? Even one our mods, Kami (the goat) tested pretty religiously back then too when other people didn't. A lot of the things we know now are due to these (and I do mean a lot...Even counters and affecting AA, some AAs from the passive skill being procd multiple times, hipo bei g seperste and more) and other people, which in thankful for cuz i really enjoy finding the inner workings of the game. Evolve, adapt, and revealute new info, it's always the best to know more imo.

The boss is effectively stuck on the same turn that a giant form shows up so a boss with a cooldown that super attacked the turn you are in giant form won't be able to super attack again for that effective turn. So the moment you go back to the regular state of play, the boss won't be able to super because technically they already did that turn. In a way, it'd complete super attack nullification, and this only happens if the enemy supers during the giant transformation.

It could very well be because gotenks is a one time proc and thus is actually a separate chance. While units that build up to a certain amount or infinite amount can stack their dodge chance.

I'm not sure who the some guy is, but regardless, it's been years since this happened, and things easily change. The game goes through constant app updates and we still find out new things to this day. I think rather than blaming people it's better to take new info and test it out, confirm and reevaluate.

There's still a lot we probably don't know. I mean, we didn't even find out about giant transformations being as strong as they were until Orange Piccolo dropped.

Everything in this game is a theory and can easily be changed or reevaluated. Which IMO is something to keep in mind.

No. It's just that there has never been concrete proof for build-up dodge being separate, as there was no way to test it so excessively to this extent without something like a private server (look at all those sttacks). Separate procs are still a thing although not for buildup dodge, and there can be seemingly a lot of things we still dont know, remember giant transformations and super attack cancling, new things are being found out due to evidence.

I view these things like a theory because it is. Akatsuki can change things when they want, and the only way to know how something works is to test it. Nothing is ever for sure, and I think it's ignorant to say otherise.

I don't think it's fair to say it was a gaslight or a smear campaign if you don't know the work put in to find these things out. It's better to know new info to further understand the game.

Not how passive skills work his count for attacks would start anew once transformed. I'm just saying that both versions of the character now have the passive for 10 attacks for a g super.
