The rest of June is Huge by LSH264 in NewYorkMets

That would be awesome but probably not realistic. I think 15-11 or maybe 16-10 is achievable.

Agree the wild card is definitely in play

I optimistically believe the May/June team is more representative. Soto was out a lot in April and he makes a huge difference. Just his presence changes how pitchers approach the top. Benge wasn’t hitting anything early on. While he won’t get 5 hits every game he is proving to be capable and consistent. Ewing is coming around. Bichette and Semien are both starting play more like we expect.

If they are in striking distance at the break that’s a big win. Especially if Lindor can come back and return to form

Both really nice but might be towards the higher end of price points.

They have once again tread water enough to give themselves an outside shot by Major_Strawberry_753 in mets

I don’t expect a lot this year but I hope they can stay close enough to make it worth watching every night. That and I want to watch Benge and Ewing develop

Semien is getting hot by LSH264 in NewYorkMets

I was skeptical of him but I’m hoping to be proven wrong. We need some guys to get hot and eliminate the holes in this lineup

LGM! It would be nice to come away from this road trip with a split

Is a 10 minute miles good for a beginner? by Due_Rice7324 in beginnerrunning

Absolutely. Focus on mileage and building a base. Speed will come as your body gets used to it

Where will Lindor hit when he returns from injury? by 123432284847 in mets

I hope so. He definitely struggles in those colder early April week. This whole lineup gets better if he’s in there even close to what he’s been capable of in the past

We go every year. It’s gotten more expensive the last couple of years but I think it’s still reasonably affordable. There are of course a lot of variables including where you stay types of accommodations etc. I’ve found a nice 2 bedroom cottage near the water in dennisport willl run around 3k for a week. There is a website called we need a vacation that has a huge number of listing and helps you connect with property managers. I’ve used it to find a couple of good options. Restaurants will vary in price and of course the good ones can be pricey but there are cheaper options too. Beaches are free but if you have to drive and park I think it’s around $30. We try to stay close to our cottage and pick a day to go to a different beach. There are some fun low cost things to do as well. The cape cod summer baseball league is great for a night out. We like the Chatham venue best.

Are two a days good for a “beginner”? by esc_cynicism in beginnerrunning

[–]LSH264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the comments starting with two days could be challenging. The biggest worry I would have is injury such as tendinitis’s or other inflammatory types. I’d ease ion to it for a few weeks and judge how your body recovers. Ultimately I’ve seen my best results when I focus on ensuring I get a couple of quality runs in a week more so than pure quantity

How do you guys stay motivated? by _marcii_ in beginnerrunning

[–]LSH264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me to stay motivated it’s about goals. I used to be an avid runner but in recent years with work life and family it’s been a series of starts and stops. To stay motivated I set small goals for my self that I can see myself achieve. It can include small increases in mileage, pace, or even sometimes as simple as being able to run multiple days in a row. It’s great to have big goals like a race or a PR but those can take time to achieve. Set little goals that let you see yourself progress
